so what did the canaanites do to be labeled evil? i am asking for specifics.
also, i would like to know what sort of evil needs 400 years to cook properly? god said to abraham that he will give him canaan, but not for 4 hundred years because the canaanites are not evil enough yet

the bible😀
and it was the lewd act of pulling the pants off his father to see his junk, which is kind of disturbing but certainly not deserving of having your descendants genocided

That's just the point old chap, the Bible is vague to say the least on the whole naked episode.
"Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard. When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father's nakedness and told his two brothers outside. But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father's nakedness. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father's nakedness. When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, he said, ‘Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers.’"

They were so nuts in those days, N could have done the same if the brat had just given him the finger🙂

Bit of an overreaction, eh. Can you imagine what N would have done if the perp had been female? Off with her head.....
