To begin with if you were going to fill that ark would you have to take
the full grown adults or young creatures which are smaller, the food
for all the creatures would have been fruits, veggies, and grains since
it was not until after the flood did God okay eating meat, that includes
animals too.

40 days? i cannot imagine the size of that arc. with every animal species male + female. and ALOT of food for all of them...all on a boat this dude built (i thought that noach guy built it not god?).
The food is going to give trouble too, for example, anteaters. They eat ants only dont they? But he only took 2 ants (male + female) on his 'little' boat trip, so the anteaters would die?🙁
Question: How many rabbits went out from the ark once they reached land again? 🙂

I remember you claiming that new organs and similar major body changes can not possibly arise via evolution - as would be required if herbivore are to become carnivores.

It is quite obvious that the reason giving in the Bible (wiping out all the bad people) was not the only reason and possibly not the main reason. Clearly God had other reasons that unless he decides to tell us about we will never know.
We can guess at some possibilities though:
1. He just got angry and went beserk.
2. He needed to make a point.
3. It made for a good story.
4. He needed to teach Noah a lesson in faith (the whole ark building thing). This is not that dissimilar to the way he showed little regard for others suffering when making points to the Jews later on.
5. He needed to teach us (those who came after) a lesson.
Of course he could have achieved 2,3 and 5 by simply inspiring someone to write the story and not actually have a flood at all. But a God who is a little deceptive is not the type of God most theists like to believe in, they much prefer an honest God who commits genocide.

Are there any imaginative reasons by the creationists to answer this question? Or do they have to invent them from scratch, again?

i never thought about the anteater until now. was he feeling depressed eating grass knowing his name suggested he had a greater destiny. and did he had trouble eating grass with that mouth and lost a lot of weight?

Originally posted by FabianFnasthe bible does say that. it says the hummies were so wicked that a global genocide was inevitable. and in all the humankind, even considering 5 year olds, even considering some rebel teenager who thought that he will be good unlike his parents, there stood noah, the last righteous man on earth. the only one worthy to be saved and then get busy breeding like the energizer bunny to recreate the hummies.
The bible doesn't say that...
so, burn! i proved you wrong, all the world was full of hitlers.
on a side note, good thing god had a son and took a chill pill and came up with the nice idea that everyone can be saved, anyone deserves forgiveness if they truly repent. and it is a good thing he sent his son to teach the wicked, and because of the chill pill he took, god managed to stay calm when the crucified jesus and not obliterate humanity again.
i bet the flood victims wished god had children and a chill pill earlier. suks to be them i suppose😀
