He doesn't like Hell. You think the devil is at peace right now? He hates Hell and he can't stand it the burning is immense because he is in the hottest of the fire. It's because he hate Hell so much that he want so much company. HE want you there, so that he don't have to suffer alone.
Did you ever get a "F" on a test? But you don't feel that bad when most of the people in the class get the same grade? That's how the devil is. He would love to see you in Hell becaue he can take pleasure in knowing that he brought you there. That's just how it is with the devil.

See, devil can mean any wicked thing on Earth. It can mean money or murdering, or wars; these are devils. When you refer to Satan, now you are talking about the evil one who once had control over death.
