You have to ask?

Without light there'd be no biological life.

Without the spiritual light of the truth there'd be no everlasting life.

God uses Light to control everything. Light is energy and laser beams. That's why the Bible mentions it all the time...w/o light maybe God couldn't control anything !

Actually, within the electromagnetic spectrum, visible light makes up a very small percent of what actually is there.

Most of what is there is invisible.

'And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.' (Gen 1:30).

He appears to have his hand on the switch.

Exactly ! every morning how is he supposed to give instructions to all the angels, saints, archdukes, all his underlings..It has to go via light b ecause that is the fastest way !

If you are asking why God did something, then it was with intent. I can imagine more than
likely to highlight to us contrast which we see all around us for various things, hot/cold,
up/down, bitter/sweet, light/darkness, and on and on. With light it highlights our needs to be
able to see, and darkness not being able to without the light.

Actually, thought is faster than the speed of light.

This is where I realize that discussing what the Bible says about God with you will probably be futile.
