Well an atheist if there is such a thing as one, believes in no after life.

Why did God give you faith, and I'm stuck with stupid frigging 'people faith'.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing comes by listening to the Word of God.

As Rwingett has pointed out to you many times, an atheist "believes" that the theist have utterly failed to prove the existence of God. There could conceivably be an afterlife but no God, couldn't there? I believe certain faiths, Buddhists for example, believe in an "afterlife" (perhaps a higher plane of reality would be more accurate - Buddhists help me out here) but not a God.

The Buddhists believe in many gods. They are not atheistic.

My brother is an almost militant atheist yet is a big believer in near death experiences and, I would assume, an afterlife.

If he is an atheist then his view about the after-life is abviously vastly different to the theists' view of the afterlife. Near death experiences prove the theistic view of the afterlife.

Wow. You really need to educate yourself regarding Buddhism before you make such an erroneous statement.

Generally, Buddhists are not concerned with God's existence or non-existence but with the end of dhukka, the suffering of oneself and the suffering of all sentient beings.

    Buddhists are non-theistic.

Well if the atheist believes in an after life then they are not an atheist.
