If the 2024 election doesn't go the way you want it to go, and if you deem it necessary, it will be "incumbent on" you to support a civil war? Am I understanding you correctly?
You are not understanding me correctly.

If a tyrannical regime threatens to dictate to you what you can and cannot do, or believe, or say, then what course of action are you going to take? Crawl into a fetal position and whimper?

I ask you, was as the Civil war just?

You actually believe Christians will be taken into slavery in the U.S.? By whom? The U.S. military?
I do not. I'm not a conspiracist.

Everything will pretty much go on as is, but getting worse, until it can no longer be sustained by human governance.

Odd that you perceive it differently in the face of the obvious truth.

Who is threatening to "dictate to you what you can and cannot do, or believe, or say"?

So you do not stand by the content of your OP?

Based on the content of your narrative, your attitude, your mean spirited posting style I've seen for nigh unto 15 years, I find it difficult to think of you as a Christian at all.

You say you are a Christian, but your aggressive assault on Christians in this forum, and your continuous attack against the truths of scripture makes you look like anything but a Christian.

What I see of you is nothing less than an FMF neophyte and a contributor to the chaos in this echo chamber called the Spituality Forum.

"You got any examples of Jesus or the Apostles doing what you suggest?"

Ever heard of "...be subject unto the higher powers."?

Everyone is involved in human government to one degree or another. And every race of peoples, every major religious sect, every philosophy, ideology and political affiliation, throughout history, for all intents and purposes has been repr ...[text shortened]... being true to themselves.

Seems to me you are afraid of evil, since it is you that mentioned it.
You were the one that quoted this:

"If people don’t step up now and get involved … in the election, get involved in standing against these evils, we will lose.”

Christians are supposed to state their beliefs regarding any evil condoned by society. That is completely different from getting involved. Standing up to evil is as simple as saying ".. homosecuality is a sin.. You are not getting involved with beating up gays and lesbians or even with changing the governments stance on that matter.

As for "subject to higher powers" means to allow the government to do what they want. It is still God that is in charge and it is He who put them there.

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
(Romans 13:1-7 KJV)

Answer my question first.

You know I know you twisted the intent and inference of my comment.

You made that question up out of thin air.

Who's fighting the government?

Who is fighting the church, if you think you know.

Good points though.
