Sorry, but i don't believe that for a minute,

Do you have a source? Or have you been on the sauce?

Sorry Invigorate,

I've just found it on the beeb-

The 31-year-old former England captain will sign a five-year deal, reportedly worth £128m

I thought they had a salary cap over there, surely this is too excessive even for Beckham the player and Beckham the brand...........

That must be a lie. LA doesn't even have a football team. They moved to St. Louis years ago.

i don't know the number but they have an exception in the salary cap for star foreign players hoping to atract superstars without driving up prices of every day players. They hope to draw players the way the NASL got Pele and Beckenbauer.

That's exactly what I thought when I read the BBC news story.

I know the bloke is a slight "has been" but he is still highly talented and has alot to pass onto others. Apparently he wont only be playing for a team he will be teaching the kids over there who are worse off than others.

I think the guy is a figurehead in football and say good luck to him. He has done alot for football in general, not to mention all that he has done for charity and football training to those who are socially deprived.

He deserves everything he has, he has a great talent and has had to work hard to get where he is now.

It's really amazing. Katie Couric was reporting on this tonight and you would have thought she was riding a Sybian while talking about him.
