Does that not make United more sucessful in England.
If United win 2 more league titles, then sure ...[text shortened]... get into the CL but United would have had 10 much easier chances of winnig the EC than the CL.

The rest of your statement about the European Cup/Champions League is very subjective... but the fact is (whether you like it or not) is that Liverpool have won more European trophies (don't forget that they too have won the CL and not just the old European Cup?)
