I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I read this question. Not because of the question itself, but because it contains a kernel of truth. The short answer is no, both the AFC and NFC are conferences in the NFL, with equal status. But for the last several years, the AFC has proven to be the superior conference. The NFC has won the Super Bow ...[text shortened]... AFC. (There may have been a team or two that had to switch to even things out, I'm not sure.)
