It's amazing how good he is in ED2 and AoD and yet so crap in the rest of his entire career.

It's like he was made to play this part.

Yep, I agree. Apparently though his performance in Bubba Hotep wasn't too bad. I haven't seen it though.

Bubba Hotep was pretty classic. No one does pulp horror like Bruce Campbell.

On a side note, "Evil Dead: The Musical" was quite entertaining.

The man from Snowy river
Mad max, all of them!
Whale Rider! (Kiwi film, Stars an amazing 11yo Keisha Castle-Hughes))
The Dish!!

Also Chinese:
Raise the red Lantern!

and American:
Pulp Fiction
Zardoz (produced and directed by John Boorman, stars Sean Connery)
Contact.
Butterfly effect
Tombstone
Long Riders! Music by Ry Cooder!!
Brother Where art thou? Music by Allison Krause, Dan Kaminsky, Union Station, Gillian Welsh, even my teenagers loved that flick!
Silent Running!! Joan Baez soundtrack, superb! Bruce Dern, also the prototype for R2D2! Way back in 1972.

What country of origin? Where do you get these movies anyway? You go to blockbuster or such and you never find the good stuff.
Some more on my A list:
The God's must be crazy, Pt 1 and 2. Great films!
Quest for fire, Rae Dawn Chong, not much dialog but a thousand times better than '1,000,000 BC' for instance.

It's a Korean film. It won the Grand Prix in Cannes, so it's not that underground. Top, top film.

NEVER go to Blockbuster. Blockbuster is evil. The name "Blockbuster" should be a tip off.

Find a local place with a good supply of the more obscure stuff. Generally the staff will be people who really appreciate good films. You'll get some good recommendations and find some real hidden gems.

I always thought of blockbuster as the McDonalds of films.
Have you seen any of my choices?

Oldboy is one of a trilogy of films by Chan-Wook Park.

The first film was, Sympathy for Mr Vengence.

Second, OldBoy.

Third, Lady Vengenance.

I bought the box set, but normally rent films from an on-line site.

I got a free hammer/bottle opener with the boxset 🙂
