@Lundos saidYou are clearly not a computer guy. Intel has been losing market share to AMD for over a decade now. Intel dominated the chip market earlier but AMD was able to take make advances in multithreading and creating chips which do not overheat. The AMD Ryzen chips are now the most popular chipsets for gaming and video applications.
Intel isn't going bankrupt.
Stop making excuses and stop licking those orange nuts all day every day.
Intel is in financial difficulty and just how GM got bailed out so now Trump is helping Intel.
You should do your research instead of insulting people in every thread.

@Rajk999 saidThis is right - many industries are partly stated owned, and state monopolies are even sometimes granted.
All govts invest in private enterprise. Its a normal thing.
Its like how people were complaining about the Trump crackdown on illegal immgration and the mass deportation. Then with another mouth they themselves were boasting that Obama deported many more millions of illegals.
I would further point out that there's an irony in people complaining about state ownership and state investment when Trump does it because these same people often are left wingers that want the government nationalizing your health insurance or even the entire healthcare industry.
@Rajk999 saidTrump's doing it in slo-mo, forcing the news media, social networks, foreign companies (through tariffs), and now domestic tech companies (by acquiring their stock for free), to do his bidding. Fidel did it a little quicker, that's the only difference.
Here is another example of exaggerating and creating drama. Castro, Chavez and other communist/socialist leaders, upon coming into power, forcefully removed foreign companies. They did not buyout these investors. The companies in which the govt had an interest, oil sector, manufacturing etc, were simply taken over and some of the investors were partially compensated or not ...[text shortened]... his behaviour to what Trump did in buying 10% stake in INTEL shows a lack of integrity on your part.

“It sounds crazy. It’s called ‘MAGA Communism,’ and the ‘communism’ thing means common wealth, common prosperity,” Haz tells one man, in a video he posted to his YouTube channel from the event. “We all come together: the workers striking at the railways, the MAGA industrial working class, the small farmers, we all unite with our power. We kick out the globalists. We kick out George Soros. We kick out Klaus Schwab. We stop that Great Reset agenda in its tracks.”
“Don’t forget to kick out Biden, either,” the man interjects.
“Absolutely,” Haz says. “Let’s go Brandon!”
Haz, who runs a YouTube channel called Infrared, is a “Marxist-Leninist” commentator who has earned a reputation for debating other extremely online politicos (and, sometimes, devolving into a screaming mess about it.) The Oct. 1 rally was not Haz’s first time selling a skeptical audience on the notion of #MAGACommunism. In September, a flurry of content around the phrase made it trend on Twitter and touched a viral nerve across the political internet.
While the mentions online have settled down, Haz is one of a number of self-proclaimed communists who are pushing the notion that anyone who cares about the working class should abandon the liberal “culture war” and ally with America’s largest anti-establishment populist movement—MAGA—ultimately in the name of inciting a populist revolution.
Promoting “MAGA Communism” alongside Haz has been 23-year-old Jackson Hinkle, a commentator who also has his own show on YouTube. Recently, Hinkle has agitated around the “globalist” threat (a term most commonly used as an antisemitic dog-whistle), championed Putin in the Ukraine war, and made the rounds on right-wing cable news, including appearances on OANN and Tucker Carlson Tonight.

Buying 10% of a company isn’t socialism. It’s basically a back-door to invest tax payers money to booster private enterprise, without the tax payers having any say in the matter.
I agree with your assessment that trump is using ICE and the national guard to bolster a police-state like mentality.
What’s worrying about this, is that the right have long held the belief they carry weapons to keep the government from doing exactly this. But now seem perfectly okay with it.
On the other hand, perhaps they don’t need their gun laws anymore. Just some KY jelly, so they can spread their cheeks in hungry anticipation.

@Rajk999 saidGod does not exist. Quit with the fantasy already.
No economy stays the same and it is always fluid. The US had two choices, one going toward leftist liberal socialism which leads to a backward, degenerate and lazy minded society, and then there was Trump, who in a few months reversed some of the policies of the left. He:
- Controlled illegal immigration
- Stopped hiring based on stupid criteria influenced by DEI, WOKE, ...[text shortened]... ndeed that is the case. In any case the people voted for fixing the society, which was in shambles.

@shavixmir saidTrump's move to have the state own significant percentages in public corporations is a copy of how the Chinese Communist Party operates. There are thousands of privately owned corporations in China. In sectors of great importance, like AI, the Party will buy various levels of influence. Trump shuns Western democracies. Western democracies are referred to as social democracies. What Trump is doing is a blend of fascism and communism. There are no textbook pure socialist or communist societies/countries.
The communist Chinese government holds ownership stakes in many of its non-government corporations, a practice that has been significantly expanding. This is done through both direct equity stakes and "golden shares" in key companies, particularly in the tech sector.
Direct equity stakes
In this more traditional approach, the state owns a percentage of a company, which can range from a minority share to a majority controlling stake.
Controlling stakes: In many large, publicly traded companies, the state is the ultimate controlling shareholder. For example, the state-owned China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) owns over 80% of PetroChina.
Mixed ownership: Many other firms are classified as "mixed-ownership," where the state holds an equity stake between 10% and 50%. A 2017 study found that over 600,000 Chinese firms had at least 30% state ownership.
Golden shares
A newer and more subtle method involves the acquisition of "golden shares," which give the government disproportionate control relative to its small ownership percentage.
What they are: A golden share is typically a 1% equity stake in a company's subsidiary, but it comes with a board seat and special rights. These rights can include veto power over corporate decisions related to content, investments, and personnel.
Who is affected: The government has used golden shares to gain influence over major private technology firms, including subsidiaries of ByteDance (parent company of TikTok), Tencent, and Alibaba.
The purpose: The government uses this method to exert influence over companies considered to be in "strategic" or "nerve-center" sectors, with the goals of surveillance, censorship, and control over content.
The larger trend of increasing state influence
This expansion of state ownership is part of a broader push by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to increase its control over the private sector, particularly under the leadership of Xi Jinping.
Control mechanisms: The government uses several tools, including state-backed investment vehicles and embedding CCP branches directly within firms, to ensure loyalty to the Party.
Motivations: This increased control is driven by both economic and political motivations, including aligning private companies with the state's industrial policy and ensuring national security, particularly regarding data control.

Trump bought 10% of Intel for about $9 Billion. No other purchases were made. If there are others then please quote the figures for other private sector purchases. I bet there are none.
Back in 2005 to 2009 the US govt bailed out GM who had racked up over $90 Billion in debts, and their market share and their share price had fallen. The US govt bailed them out to the tune of $50 Billion. Now they are just barely scraping by. Did you complain then in 2005 when the govt bailed out GM?
Trump is bailing out Intel which has a bleak future in the chip market. Intel is in some serious financial trouble and if you were a computer geek you would know that Intel had this fall coming. AMD and Nvidia were beating them hands down and they were failing in almost every department. Intels share price took a nose dive in the last 5 years from over $60 to about $17 right now. The US Govt got a good deal, but Intel is not a profitable company in which to invest or take control of. If Trumps aim was to get a hold of some of these companies then he would have been better advised to invest in AMD and Nvidia.
Your analysis and conclusions are nonsensical, and its all caused by Trump hatred. Trump has made you people stupid.
