The only power that US politicians have regarding ending wars is to vote against the US starting a war.
Many people think the way to shorten this Russian expansionist war is to let them just have their way in Ukraine, whilst some of us believe the that the way to shorten this war is to give Ukraine the means to thwart Russias expansionist strategy.
Both sides want an end to this war and war in general, the fact you cannot grasp that neither side is actually pro war is not AOCs or my problem.

It's totally different from invading Iraq or Afghanistan or organizing a coup in some South American country.

The Ukraine war is the exact reverse situation as Vietnam.

There was no significant Russian presence in Vietnam, but there was a lot of logistical and material support. There was a large, indefensible invasion by the USA with real military force. (AFAICT China only started sending troops as a reaction to the American atrocities.) Most of the Vietnamese population wanted the USA out.

There is no significant American (or other Western) personnel in Ukraine, though there is (still not enough) logistical and material support. This whole atrocity started when Russia invaded Ukraine and began raping and murdering men, women and children. Most Ukrainians, and apparently a significant number of Russians, want Russia out of Ukraine.

In Vietnam, the USA were the villains.

Now, it is the guy who pays you for your propaganda: Putin.

Even Fox News clearly understands Putin wants to reunite the former Soviet Union by using military force to control now sovereign nations. Putin has stated that disolving the Soviet Union was a huge mistake. I believe he saw an authoritarian ally in Trump. Putin has long wanted to weaken NATO and Trump too is not fond of NATO.
