My comment was not inspired from political bias if that is what you are getting at.
It's just that when Americans who are not far leftists virulently go after both Republicans and Democrats, they usually turn out to be Ron Paul supporters.
Just my observation. I was curious if it was right in this case.
Originally posted by sh76Yes I like the lil fella. I dont have any Ron Paul bumper stickers though. No handicap here! 🙂 The main reason is that he is very adamant about the constitution. I am not going after anybody. It is just that all info needs to be said in order for this mess to be cleaned up.

I liked Ron Paul too. He came to my little town here in S. Carolina to stump once, and I even got to the podium and was able to ask him a question. I said that at the last televised debate, the 10 Republican candidates were asked if they believed every word of the Bible as true. I saw 8 hands go up, but Paul and one other candidate was out of the screen shot. So I asked him, "What was your answer?"
He seemed miffed. He said the question was unfair and that it should never have been asked of the candidates in the first place. In short, he parried and never answered the question.
I still liked him, though. He and Kucinich were the 2 I likied best.
Originally posted by PinkFloydI think that speaks to his honesty. It would have been easier for him to just say yes. The fact he didn't answer probably meant he saw no political benefit short of lying. Then again he may not have wanted to get into the whole which bible discussion. His brother is a lot like him. Hard workers and just good people.

Originally posted by PinkFloydHe's right. It was a silly question. You know that most of them probably don't believe in every word of the Bible, but it's a GOP primary and they have to pander to Evangelicals. The only point of the question is to see who had the guts to resist pandering. I assure you that Giuliani doesn't believe every word of the Bible is true. He marched in the gay pride parade and supports abortion rights. Yet did he raise his hand? I don't remember; but he might have simply to pander.

I'd rather they ask politicians substantive questions at debates rather than these catch-22 "gotcha" questions.
Originally posted by generalissimoYes I do believe it. Look up the terrorism statistics and see if you think the patriot act, no fly list, etc. is justified. When you look it up keep in mind that every act of war in Iraq and Afganistan is counted. I looked it up a long time ago and at that time there was an official govt document giving the number of terrorism acts for a given year. What is interesting is that the number jumps right up there after 911. Sorry I didn't answer seriously the first time! Also see how many folks from the United states are on the no fly list. More people are on the no fly list than the number of terrorist acts pre 911!
now you're just talking crap, do you really believe that Bush has done more to harm the country than all the acts of real terrorism combined?
Originally posted by joe beyserof course it was, yes sure.

now just calm down, and please don't harm yourself or others around you, and don't forget to take your meds.
