His points are great??? No religion in schools? Elective? Jihad in one class, Christ in another? To follow your logic, that religion should not be in school, what about teaching capitalism. Tell us, should capitalism be taught in schools? I am assuming you are a communist so would you send your child to that school, or would you get one of the sleazy signs that y’all carry all the time and walk around the school with it?
I am not a communist though I am a “left leaning” Liberal so maybe tilting towards Socialist?🤔Religion should be taught in churches, synagogues, mosques, at home, etc not schools. I guess some folks consider capitalism a religion so no, not in school but money management should be. You mentioned “sleazy” signs. What signs might they be?

@sonhouse
Well said. I agree.

These ultra left wingers in the democrat party are not doing democrats any good but alienating voters.
When we run we have to get real and admit we have to work with the ultra right wingers in congress and senate.
The country is in enough danger as it is with the ultrarightwingnuts in power like that utterly CRAZY Steve Miller or Vought or Trump or Vance or Patel or Bondi ...[text shortened]... th Trump clearly thinking he is ALREADY a king
and slipping more and more each week into dementia.
yes, run centrist policies (what the hell does that even mean). it worked so well in the past.

What a truly stupid post. As if it has gotta make some difference in all of our posting, …..it is what it is young fella, why keep writing stuff that is what it is. Maybe you and Sunhouse need to carry some signs down to the capital and say we need to change voting laws so that it is like we want it to be🤣😆🤣😆🤣 your friend Susie, says that there should be no electoral college.🥹
Don't worry, be happy, if you are not lying about your tremendous wealth you will be right with the big guys, who have top tier DOJ, the rest of us working slobs have tier two, WAY underneath top tier folks, rich folks who get treated with soft gloves which is a new thing starting with Trump V1.
I think you know that full well but will NEVER admit it.

It means, as opposed to the POS way it is now, Democrats are LITERALLY the enemy, no talkie, no walkie. FK the lot of them, that is EXACTLY how house and senate repubs think now, thanks to that FKER Newt Gingrich who started this crap and that INSURES not a thing will be done, NEVER debate policy with democrats, we are from an alien planet, and not real Americans.

You think the way our so called government is going now is better than the old boring days where left and right discussed issues, fight like hell for your POV and a compromise is reached, neither side getting all they wanted but a bill is thrashed out and sent to POTUS for signing.

Is there something existentially dangerous with that form of government?

The whole goddamned bunch of the republicans have their asses superglued to Trumps ass but it looks like they are sick of the smell and maybe some of them are finding their balls again. Will see. It sounds like the House will pass the bill to try to force the release of the Epstein files, a campaign promise made by Trump but now backed into a corner trying every trick in the book to stop anyone from seeing the whole transcript. So there may be a much larger vote for release of the bill over the 218 now, so we will see just how many repubs have grown balls.

The Senate will be another story, Thume's lips are STILL superglued to Trumps ass, and he LOVES the smell so I see two scenarios here, no, three.
One, Thume goes WE SENT YOU 20,000 pages of emails, what the hell MORE do you want. No deal, he sends it to the trash can.
Two, he actually wakes up and smells the coffee and allows a vote, and it passes and goes to POTUS for signing and POTUS goes FK YOU, NO and NO again.
Three, It goes through the Senate and POTUS actually signs, and maybe he resigns🙂

Placards?

I think the students at Brown or maybe that liberal college out in California Berkeley invented them? They carry them in circles and hold them up where people can read what they say. It might say ‘Pay my Bills!” Or something like that, but I do not understand the nature or what the intended result would be of someone telling me that. I don’t get that. Do I write them a check?
And why do these kids think they should weigh in or could weigh in on the running of America? They be children.

Over what? The Trump accomplishments? You obviously don’t like what he has done here and globally, but you are a bit light on explanation. Hate is your only explain so far.

Because my personal status is irrelevant to these discussions. If I am successful is it because when I was 18, I thought that I think I will go and be very successful. Some people decide to join the service so they can get out in 20 years with paid pensions. Both of us working hard, but I keep working after 20 years and pyramid my investments. You seem to find fault with that and want things to be settled. But you never tell us how we would settle such matters , as someone working harder than someone else. And with more drive than someone else.
And you seem so mad about it. You try to chide me personally about it. I may be poor. That is irrelevant to the discussion. I write that some people work harder than others, so people make more money than others. You can choose that in our society. Of course you cannot choose that in a socialistic Society, but I digress. But, hey….. you sure can get other peoples money in your society. Have at it. People with Money usually very smart, and they will always know how to shelter their money.
What are you mad about anyway? You’re always writing about other people and what other people are doing. Self reliant people get out and do for themselves. But once again I digress.

How the flying fuk is that because democrats are supposedly too damn left?
There is no right wing in the US, only far right. And yes, the right wing lunatics will scream "there is only far left" too, but even the moderately educated know that's a lie.

You are dreaming of a period where republicans and democrats "got along" but you are ignorant of the reasons that period is just a distant memory. The democrats didn't go left. They stayed in the center and they kept losing, election after election. The republicans moved further and further to the right and keep asking democrats to meet them in the new "center"

In the latest shutdown they didn't even do that. They stuck to their position and the democrats caved. How much "center" should the democrats have been instead?

"Is there something existentially dangerous with that form of government?"
Yes. It paved the way for Trump to get in power.

You entered in the debate with the premise "democrats should run on centerist policy" . I ask you what the fuk that means and you go in a rant that is ALL about how republicans are.

Do you understand how incoherent you are?

It means we have to have a government system where the parties actually talk to each other, maybe nothing to do with left or right. Right now there is no such talks between repubs and dems, only if it is an emergency. No regular policy talks allowed by Repubs to discuss issues with dems.
