Nixon resigned because he brought disgrace upon the White House.

No felonies, no convictions, he said multiple times that he was 'not a crook'. While he did have followers in government, he didn't have the charisma to light up his electorate.

He resigned before he could be impeached. He saw the handwriting on the wall.



Trump would just tear down that wall, build a new one and then play dumb and claim it was a 'hoax'. He's been convicted of multiple felonies and has been impeached twice. He just keeps rumbling, grumbling along. He, unlike Nixon, has the charisma, the smooth used-car salesman technique, to get stupid people to believe him, and unethical people to go along with him. And he doesn't give one tiny, little damn about where democracy ends up after he's set fire to it, and neither do the stupid people or the unethical people.

No, the only talking gets done because the Trumpublicans want something.
