I just saw clips of the minister of WAR and the CHIEF… talking to the generals, promoting their own books and calling the crowd fat.
Oh, and using the military on US soil… against the enemy within… like in Portland.

My God, what a 💩 show.
They looked like they expected a maga-like rally vibe… bloody hell, I’ve not seen an act bomb that hard since the US fled Afghanistan with it’s tail beneath its legs!

At this stage I'm about ready to move to the PRC, even it that means having tea with the police once in a while.

Respect for the military sitting there so stoically.
Would love to be a fly-on-the-wall back at the hotel!

That's what you hear. But that's not what's happening, is it?

If Trump actually believed in meritocracy, he would not have fired thousands of veteran government employees. He would not be insulting our top brass in the military, he would not cut funding to the arts, to science foundations, to education. Instead, he'd be standing up for all those things. All he cares a ...[text shortened]... a and Americans. History will not be kind to anyone from this administration. And for good reason.

You said this. You are saying that he would not have fired people if he believed in meritocracy. He does believe in it, of course. So, he fired people who did not qualify as having merit for employment, regardless of heretofore DEI guidelines.
THAT is what happened.
So could you restate that first paragraph to make sense? Sorry you don't think he has a qualified cabinet, and that comments like we don't want fat soldiers sound offensve I love the sound of it. Do you think military should have unisex bathrooms? I'm sure you have thought of it. I don't think so, myself. Should there be a 3rd gender in the military, after male and female? What is it called? I am a______________.

you guys are crazy

What do you mean by retaining an equal footing? It is a given that we all have the same rights to grow our lives. How much do you want a president to do beyond what is already being done. Trump just yesterday made a deal (he makes deals like you throw darts) with Pfizer which is for all Americans. Not just for him, I don't think it put money in his pockets. The tariffs are a long time coming, this will lift all boats for everyone. Problem with your outlook is getting free stuff. You want Trump to give money to the little people, I want him to prevail in a revived economy where people can find jobs, sue. Then, they fend for themselves, without relying on handouts. They learn how to fish, as the adage goes.

Yeah, as Trump keeps stopping wars (6 so far) that means that they could be out of work. A lot of grumbles in the hotel room. Can't make everyone happy. Some people want trump to give citizens fish ($1000 per citizen 😀 )_ and some of us want to teach people to fish.
So the parasites would not be happy if they have to fish.

Speaking of happy, you guys are not a very happy bunch. Not even a peep out of sonhouse after Trump closed the Pfizer deal yesterday. He still is not happy.

I don't want to imply "the ravings of a lunatic", but you sound like Trump.

I don't think his lid is on tight enough, either.

Every time Trump just moves his mouth and makes sh-- up, you guys eat it up like grandma's banana bread.

Gullible. Sad.

Are you high? Or just mad?

When Trump moves his mouth , you may have noticed, that his competitors all fall in line with him in the end. That is because he is an extremely good negotiator, and he is working for you. Be happy. When Biden moved his mouth it was for ice cream. When Kamala moved her mouth, it was meaningless. When Buttigieg moved his mouth……..oh well…

To riff of off "Jane, you ignorant slut" from SNL circa 1976:

"Earl, you ignorant doofus." 😉

If "woke" means "inclusive" -- didn't that used to be an American ideal (admittedly maybe just a few decades ago rather than at time of founding)?

More importantly, what do you think about Hegseth calling our top military away from their posts in such roilsome times? Seems like a bad idea to me.
I was sceptical about Hegseth's bringing all those top generals together but it worked out very well
