See if that changes if it successfully ignites this controversy.
Probably not. People who do want to see this movie will and probably already have. The conservative corpses in our world will only watch and repost the clip again and again and cry foul.

Freedoms to address issues versus normalising seeing the subject matter being addressed and cashing in on showing the subject matter without owning your motivation are really complex issues. Protecting and Safeguarding children is an area in which the human race perform particularly badly and the prevalence of mental health difficulties does not suggest we are improving. How ...[text shortened]... an choosing between two established camps and a culture that reduces it to that is losing free will?
The lines aren't lines, they are gray areas, and their boundaries are constantly shifting. This is difficult for some people to adjust to; they don't want to have to adjust.

I recall when Elvis was filmed from the waist up because his pelvic gyrations were offensive to some. Times change.

The boundaries shift, but childhood sexual abuse persists throughout time. Plainly nobody has found the right answer, but if you are confronted with one of the best known and never solved puzzles there can be no reason to assume a particular party line is the answer. It persists in every culture whether liberal, conservative, religious fundamentalists...

We aim to be civilized, but the atrocities experienced by the future generation of our species in every culture are pretty alarming. The danger is that makes you feel defeated and you become passive.

Hahaha, "conservative corpses". Yep, the Walking Dead. "Brrrraaaaaaaaiiiins..." They need brains because they gave their last ones to Trump, who had them with fava beans and a nice Chianti.

it doesnt “showcase” anything.

it is indoctrination!

Nothing of the sort.
As pointed out to you, there is a huge difference between child pornography and a film about the effects of the internet on children.
Shav, We do not need 11 year old children being sexually abused to show us what is wrong with sexual abuse of children.

"Just say NO", Shav.

@moonbus - I recall when Elvis was filmed from the waist up because his pelvic gyrations were offensive to some. Times change.

True 'dat!

I think when Elvis appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show, the biggest talent marketer
of that era, Elvis was told not to swing his hips and Elvis was not filmed from the
waist down. Yes.

But, our line in the sand has to be somewhere, and "children" is an excellent place to start.

Boundaries may shift, but this is sexualisation of 11 year old girls, plain and simple.

This shouldn’t exist and it’s infinitely worse than a black cartoon character being voiced by a white actor or a fictional character being killed by another fictional character.

Really? Why not go a step further then and actually show sexual intercourse between a child and a grown-up to “expose a problem”?
