The little heifers are young cows and are kept to make more babies. The little boys are neutered and become steers. A few little boys are left intact to become bulls. These are the daddies to the baby BOVINES...commonly known as CATTLE. The cows in dairy herds make milk. Excuse the teasing...the devil made me do it.
Every time I drive by a field with cows, I think, "Mmmm, yum! GET in mah BEL-LEH!!"

How about addressing the post rather than personally attacking the poster?
The thing is, Vegetarianism is neither better nor worse for you than meat eating providing you eat meat in moderation and exercise regularly.
It's not 'cruel' to the animals if they are raised properly and this is one area which does need more public awareness on the issue. Meat thats been raised properly also has greater benefits for the eater.
Of course if you really don't care whee your meat comes from then it's up to you anyway, because when it comes down to it, vegetarianism is a personal issue. You're not going to affect anyone else by eating meat.
So although the general public needs to be informed the pushing of it down peoples throats with half-truths and scaremongering really should be avoided.... it's counter-productive.
The real thing we should be worried about is not the meat production it's the over-fishing problem. One day soon we'll be running out and then it's bye bye fish dish. Shark finning should also be banned internationally.
