We've also had mandatory vaccinations and masking policies for over 100 years. Get over it.
Not without exemptions. Get over it.

Those still exist. Birds don't.

Jerome Adams is a retard?

https://www.foxnews.com/media/surgeon-general-explains-masks-public-coronavirus

This is what he said:

“What the World Health Organization [WHO] and the CDC [The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] have reaffirmed in the last few days is that they do not recommend the general public wear masks.”

He then explained the reasons wh ...[text shortened]... n good? The science didn't change. He just lied the second time and provided no study to back it up.
It was quickly determined that transmission by contact was unusual, if not non-existent:

The World Health Organisation (WHO) and US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have updated the infection control advice on their websites to reflect the current state of evidence. The CDC says that while it’s possible that respiratory droplets could land on surfaces and objects, and that someone could become infected by touching them, “this is not thought to be a common way that COVID-19 spreads."

Also, “despite consistent evidence as to SARS-CoV-2 contamination of surfaces and the survival of the virus on certain surfaces, there are no specific reports which have directly demonstrated fomite transmission,” says the WHO.

https://www.gavi.org/vaccineswork/how-important-are-surfaces-transmission-covid-19

"The risk of contracting coronavirus by touching a contaminated surface or object is “low”, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Monday, updating its guidelines on cleaning and disinfecting everyday household surfaces. According to the CDC, there is a less than 1-in-10,000 chance of contracting Covid-19 from surfaces."

Medical professionals wear masks around COVID patients, don't they?

Those studies basically admit it is inconclusive.

That does not prove Adams' specific reasons wrong. He also gave more than 1 reason.

If not vaxxing just killed those stupid enough to not vax that would be one thing.

It is another thing entirely to tell folks, I HAVE FREEDOM so I don't have to do a DAMN thing you want me too, AND I could give a rats ass about other people getting sick from me. I AM SUPERMAN.

Vaccinated people spread the virus and get others sick, especially the Omicron variant. They don't give a rats ass about other people getting sick from them. You just want to punish people for not conforming like you did. You have no science to back up your false claim.

Yeah, that's really "inconclusive".

Adams explained his reasons for changing his recommendation.

Funny, I thought getting vaxxed protected you. Why care if you are protected.

I suppose getting vaxxed makes you a superman.

Face it, people have immune systems to fight viruses, seeing as almost everyone who gets covid survives, just boost your immune system.

That is ridiculous.
The CDC never said that.

Adams didn't cite any study to prove wrong the specific reasons he gave for masks doing more harm than good. He did cite a study proving the specific reasons he gave for masks doing more harm than good though.

You just ran across a couple of studies that Adams never cited for his reason for changing his mind. Totally unrelated. Adams didn't have any scientific study that proved his first assertions wrong because it doesn't exist.

You attempting to make the case that washing your hands during a pandemic has a 1-in-10,000 chance of helping is laughable. So instead of accepting masks don't help, you would rather accept washing your hands does not help.

Is that your position? Washing your hands is a futile effort and wear masks instead?

I just gave you the citation and you sit there claiming "the CDC never said that".

You're certifiably crazy.

Does the same apply for the flu? Is Omicron more dangerous to fully vaccinated (and boosted if eligible) people than the flu is to ordinary people? Do we restrict people's movements based on the flu or do we simply let each person decide where to go and how much risk to accept?

To mandate anything or restrict anyone based on Omicron's danger to the vaccinated, you need to show that Omicron is a danger to vaccinated people more so than ordinary winter viruses. If you have any evidence to that effect, I'm all eyes.
