You and half the other people this time of year.

For those who haven't noticed (i.e., don't have kids), flu is back with a vengeance this year. (Lots of dry tinder since everyone's flu immunity is 2 years old after flu took the year off last year). My son's class had 9 kids out one day last week. My nephew's class actually shut down for a day or two last week because half the class was out in any case. A third of the people seem to be sniffling and coughing and tired.

Is it flu? Omicron? Cold? RSV? Combination? Who really knows? All I know is that everyone is recovering after a few days and moving on with their lives.

===Gene vaccines are not the solution. They are only a treatment.===

Treatment is a good thing.

Anticipatory treatment by vaccine is the ounce of prevention that's worth the pound of cure.
For the elderly and other high risk people.
All other people can get the virus and recover fine. I did.

Children are more likely to die from the flu than covid. Probably more likely to die from the gene vaccine than covid.

The Omicron variant is probably part cold coronavirus. That explains why it is milder and has symptoms like a cold.

It's much more likely to be milder if you're vaccinated.

I've never gotten sick with COVID though I've been exposed countless times as I've been living my regular pre-COVID life since my second shot in February (masking only where requested by the business owner).

Do I know for sure that I've never had symptoms because of my vaccines? No. But it seems likely that it's helped.

No one really knows is the honest truth, a lot of media hype and scare mongering going around, this time last year we didn’t have a vaccine and we were all in the same position as now. I haven’t felt sick since March 2020 until this week, had the second vaccine a month ago... some job it has done.

Have you been tested? You could have cold/flu/RSV, you know.

If I don’t get tested I can’t have covid 😉

Entire thing is beyond ridiculous.

Right, and the more they increase testing the more cases they will find.
It is ridiculous.

Another consequence of media hysteria:

[quote]RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) - Some Vermonters who are able to find antigen tests and then test positive are clogging up emergency rooms.

The emergency department at the Rutland Regional Medical Center has been overwhelmed with asymptomatic folks. ...[text shortened]... ke: Stop yelling at people that Omicron is a threat to their lives. Panic-mongering has consequnces.
On an average day, 200 more children are hospitalized for COVID in the US.https://abc7ny.com/covid-in-kids-vaccine-omicron-variant-children-with/11393287/

There's still more than a 1000 deaths per day being reported from COVID in the US.

Stop pretending this disease is some minor annoyance.

Ridiculous like most of your assertions.

If people knew how to take care of themselves , there would be far fewer hospitalizations. Failure of the government to educate people on how to treat covid if you get it is a shame.
