Democracy is quite dead in the USA . Corporations buy up politicians and they obey their masters . Both parties (RNC and DNC ) are corporations who can ignore the votes of the people and nominate anyone they choose . as much as one is tempted to cut one's nose to spite their face, at the moment voting democrat in the US is the only choice.
The better way is to vote progressives to replace corporate democrats but if that isn't possible (in part because democrats fight much more against progressives than republicans) you can't allow republicans to literally (no hyperbole) destroy democracy. The democrats you don't vote for won't care, they are rich and they will stay rich. This crap won't affect them.

Thing is, if senate and house become total repub, there would be no further elections, only shams like in Russia. A vote for republicans is a vote to end democracy and that is the solid truth.
In fact, voting is already worthless in states like Louisiana or Mississippi. The republicans have entrenched themselves so much in there that they are impossible to remove.
The goal should be to keep at least a few states free and non-shtholes like California or New York.
