It's a valid and not necessarily worse approach for someone to have children by several different fathers and for Grandma to help raise the kids.

Society has a responsibility, in my mind anyway, to try to ensure each person has a reasonable opportunity for sustenance and basic human dignity. Society should also try to protect and support those unABLE to provide and care for themselves. Beyond that, it's in all of our interests to give each person a reasonable opporunity to reach his or her potential.
But inequality in itself? I see nothing wrong with there being rich people and poor people in the world. It's a reality of society anyway. It would take extreme coercion to change that.
