Nuclear families often result in atomized people.

It's a valid and not necessarily worse approach for someone to have children by several different fathers and for Grandma to help raise the kids.

Some value connections and relations more than money and material goods.

Dems have a plan. They hammer on it behind closed doors, 24/7. We don't do that. Too busy keeping ahead of inflation. And the thinkers will. The others, some on this Forum, will be buried by it. There are studies recently done that it may take an additional $5000 per year to survive. And y'all never write about Inflation, or the Border, y'all write about Trump and abortion. They are what they are. Inflation and the Border are yet to come.

Nothing can or should be done to "fix" inequality.

Society has a responsibility, in my mind anyway, to try to ensure each person has a reasonable opportunity for sustenance and basic human dignity. Society should also try to protect and support those unABLE to provide and care for themselves. Beyond that, it's in all of our interests to give each person a reasonable opporunity to reach his or her potential.

But inequality in itself? I see nothing wrong with there being rich people and poor people in the world. It's a reality of society anyway. It would take extreme coercion to change that.

It just kills me when one conservative has a disagreement in principle with another conservative, and you can start a 10-second countdown until one calls the other "a liberal", as if that were the worst insult imaginable.
