I can remember last year an article about the suicide hotlines getting an increased number of calls.
I still think it is counter intuitive to think suicides will decrease during lockdowns and I am suspicious of the data.

It wouldn't surprise me to know the government gave fake data to take away an argument to show why
lockdowns should be eased. Just my opinion. I base it on intuition, of course.
I prefer facts to "intuition".

So mandating everyone to stay in their homes, stop going to work, don't congregate, etc... had absolutely nothing to do with why people may have avoided hospital...got ya.

For instance when they were just a little bit sick form the deadly cancer that was unknowingly spreading unchecked throughout their body, and they decided that it wasn't worth the trip to an ER...

W ...[text shortened]... l deny it! The general public has absolutely no comprehension the numbers were this large. Sheeple
Yeah, I remember someone using "advanced mathematics" who told us there'd be no more than 40,000 COVID deaths in the US. Do you remember who that was?

Of course, when there is a deadly pandemic loose in the community, people are going to alter their behavior to try to avoid getting sick. That will be true regardless of what measures are mandated by the government authorities. Do I really need to get a "scientist" to tell you that?

It seems you've learned absolutely nothing in the last year; you were a COVID denier and minimizer back then and you still are now.

An effect can't be isolated without control groups, Sweden is the closest thing we have...but if we are talking about the pure effect of COVID on the public, we actually have none.

Sure...some of it was people saying, I'm going to change my behavior. However, the vast majority was undoubtedly MSM saying "stay in your homes or everyone is going to die....here is the tally" ( a historical first of a communicable diseases ).

Of course it's true and the report you cite dated April 9th hardly refutes yesterday's figures.
the govt link I provided shoes a -23% decline for Florida.

the link you gave gets its info from the official govt website that I posted. The last update for the govt website was 4/13/21. Anything other is projects, not official. Your link states this. https://www.worldometers.info/about/

Your claim was that "lockdowns" were responsible for the supposed collateral effects in your post. "Lockdowns" is a term used to describe government mandated social distancing and other measures meant to reduce the spread of the contagious disease.

Now this post says it was all account of media hysteria.

Which is it?

Its a co-op.

The MSM is instrumental in selling the justification for the lockdown.

I showed how they obtain their data, and how they formulate their findings.

What part of that are you confused about?

No your right except all of it is true.
Remember the Wolverines they were the extreme end of non lockdown compliance in Michigan.
So please don’t hold up Michigan as evidence of lockdown not working when it really epitomises the reality of the rejection of lockdown by a large chunk of the population.
I live in Michigan you dork. You cannot get away with bluffing a Michigander. Stop lying.

Why should I waste my time?

The suicide numbers from the CDC are a better indicator of actual suicides than calls to suicide hotlines.
