@Earl-of-Trumps
Well your dude got some 50,000 votes, only a couple thousand times too little though.

We won in SPITE of libertarian votes.

Now the only thing left is to see if Biden goes from 273 to 306, ironically that would the same # that elected king Trump.
Now comes the part where the whole country starts acting like we are all Americans and not this left/right war we have had for ten or more years.

Now we will find out how important it is for a POTUS to have empathy.

Even YOU know trump had ZERO empathy and it showed every time he opened his mouth.

He wanted to ................................... for those making over $400,000 a year.

Not exactly a "radical" position.
I'll take it.

@sonhouse - Is there some huge problem with Americans just starting to work together again,

translation: "Now that we have won back power, let's cooperate"
The Israelis offered peace, too... as soon as they won all the land - and not a minute before.

Hey Sonhouse, it is *your* party that has sewn divisions in america, and don't ever forget it. Pitting bl ...[text shortened]... er clingers"
Biden calling us 'Those chumps"

I'd have a better chance lying down in a cobra pit.
You have two choices.

Help knit this country back together, or get the hell out of the way.

Quite a few news outlets just called Nevada after additional results pulled Biden's lead to over 25,000 there.

So 279 so far with four States left to call though Trump seems pretty certain to hold North Carolina and Alaska.

And it feels a little freer today than yesterday.
Europe isn't paradise. Be thankful you don't have beheadings.

So you believe in the third way. Interesting!

A word of advice for President-Elect Biden: unify the voting system for presidential elections. Get rid of the confusing multiple systems, state-by-state, presently in effect. There should be one single system, federally controlled and monitored, regulating the casting of ballots, the counting of ballots, the time frame (deadlines, etc.) of validity, and the exact conditions under which a recount shall be triggered (not because one guy does not like the result). This would undercut the bogus claims of "massive fraud" which were circulating this time:

A word of advice for President Trump: you're a lame duck now. You can no longer do anything good or even useful for the world or the country. You can, however, still do a lot of damage. If you care at all about your legacy, about whether anyone in the future looks back and "likes" you, then shut up, play golf, and let the experts initiate some emergency damage containment measures from now until January 20th. You don't have to shake Joe's hand; just slink off in silence.

They have mass shootings, more or less twice daily, instead.

@moonbus

Lame duck Trump - yes he is, but *still* the POTUS until mid January.

Pfizer announced a COVID-19 vaccine today, And yet team Biden is claiming credit.

Ya see how that works, right?

Needless to say, the Biden team did no such thing.

I see transparent lies are still the favored tactic of right wing posters here.

Sure, if you think that the country has no problems needing solutions, a deadlocked government which will do virtually nothing is great.
That's one way of putting it.

Ask me instead of the country has major problems needing solutions that federal legislation is in the best position to provide.

Ok:

"Does the country have major problems needing solutions that can be best addressed by Federal legislation?"

If not, do you favor the abolishing of the Federal government altogether?

How about the scenario where the ACA is struck down? Tens of millions would lose health insurance altogether and almost everybody's coverage of preexisting conditions would be instantly jeopardized.

What is the likelihood that Moscow Mitch and the Democrats would come up with a compromise at all on a national health care policy? Since the Republicans couldn't even decide on such a policy even when they held the Presidency and both houses of Congress I'd say the odds of successful compromise are miniscule.

So would that constitute the "best outcome"?
