Moreover, my guess is that this is what Biden secretly hoped for as well.
If he'd swept into power on a Blue Wave, he'd have been enormously pressured to go for single payer healthcare, ban fracking, pack the Court, heavily jack up income taxes, etc.

Second, consider all the man-hours lost due to your neighbors being sick or injured, if there is no national health care system, and all the services, upon which you too depend, which do not run at full capacity if someone gets sick or injured. Schools, post offices, road maintenance, fire depts., inspections of food quality, control of hygiene in super markets and restaurants, sewerage, bridge inspectors, the list of public services is endless, and if they don't have fully-manned positions because there's no national health care to treat people who get ill or injured, then you too suffer. You want your money back? Think of it as an investment in a functional society.
If the elderly just need companionship or attention, they can go to church for that.

Well the simple fact that the Dems are not getting the senate will mean that they will have to negotiate with the senate which means any laws or programmes that survive that process will be centrist by definition.
My problem is that Biden is, and always has been, a centrist and would have dulled any left edge initiatives anyway.
The fact that you fail to see the logic or illogic of a statement, claim or argument has been evident for a while now.
