We are also working more for less money, when adjusted for cost of living.

I think the skewed wealth disparities are having a huge effect. Prices are really high because we have a lot of rich people with a lot of demands. But we have a lot of working class with stagnant wages who have to deal with $12 bags of almonds too.

I can't get over your saying that someone 'Has To' buy a certain product.
I have a speed boat at the lake, it cost me $22k.
Your logic leads me to respond as follows:
"If I want to get a mid-range speed boat I will HAVE TO PAY $200,000."

You see, Songrass, I do not have to pay that much for a boat, when I can have one which is more within my budget.
