That means poor management of their money, bad decisions, caused by a lazy electorate who chose a terrorist regime to rule them. There is nothing wrong with their brains, but they have allowed hatred to influence their decision making. Hatred is the start of the end for any people. The Jews build, they fix, they develop, they secure themselves. They are smart people.

So here is the thing. you know who has to take the blame for the plight of these poor Palestinians... YOU, and other like you, all the Arab states and sympathizers who blame the Jews for everything. Anytime you blame others for your stupidity and bad decisions you are doomed. Blaming themselves is the first step out of the pit Palestinians are in. The next step is to divert some of the money people give them, away from fighting Israel and start building their own lives.
But I know that not happening. They right now are negotiating for nuclear bombs from Iran, to destroy Israel. The day that happens is the day you will see the real power Israel has. I hope that day never comes.

Edit: my fathers attitude was always, they can take my land, they can take my money, they can even take my freedom, but they can never take my mind! So he always pushed education. Also why he became a professor and not a med doctor.

I guess it depends on what you are comparing it to. I'm having a hard time finding PhD specific info, but there's a lot of information at the Palestinian Bureau of Statistics website. You may be able to dig around there a bit more than I have and find something.
