My understanding is that he had competent legal representation, and he plead guilty to disrupting official proceedings, which is a felony. Probably the police were doing what they thought was appropriate at the time for someone who was not acting violently.

For the record, I know absolutely nothing about Jan 6, I put this thread up to simply point out that all of the million posts about that day are incorrect, I am just trying to keep the Forum credible. May I be specific of one element, some may not have watched it. Josh Hawley ran like crazy , police escorts, with thirty other dark suits out of the fracas in the building.
