One of you said you were down 6%. Then you apparently have no diversification...I mean, you have no bonds. If you had bonds, you would be down prob less than 1%. Trump and I recommend a new financial advisor. If you were not prepared for this, you run to your crowd and holler that dam Trump, he should have left things the way that Biden left them.

Sue, could I have one of your 'well said' responses.?
If you're not worried, the answer is because you're stupid.

One should not misunderestimate wilful stupidity. It is still early days in the Trump presidency, and a rise in the price of eggs or a fall in the stock market can be easily explained away as a blip which will correct itself soon enough. Even if these figures do not correct themselves soon enough, Trump will simply double down, claim the figures are wrong, and present “altern ...[text shortened]... irings and wonky tariff-policy lead to horrendous failures of the infrastructure and economic chaos.
Listen to you. The imbalanced tariff world needs to be fixed, it is time, after many decades. If you disagree, then you are clueless and no one is going to listen to you. I am just trying to save you embarrassment, socialists do leave a lot hanging.
The ONLY reason for your unfounded rage is, you hate Trump. You are as believable as Sonhouse, snooze time. You blame Trump for the state of the economy, you do not see that the real villain is tariff imbalance, among other tnings.
Can you say that the ogher countries have taken advantage of the United States?? Of course you can. But you won't.

Hey why won't Maruader tell us if the male Fencer has his junk? Do you think he knows? He would have to, to be writing these posts about him. His posts do not close if he omits that fact. Do you think his posts close if he does not reveal that fact? I am just asking.

Funny how our economy was the strongest in the entire planet, China behind us by 12 TRILLION in GNP.
BTW, they count GNP as what is produced not what is sold, so they says they built 10 million cars, and they sold one million, they report their GNP as the value of 10 million cars while the US and the rest of the world says we SOLD X trillion dollars of stuff, services and whatever, not just what was manufactured so China has a fake economy record.
So Trump now takes a wrecking ball to our economy AND the rest of the world and you think this is a good thing.
I wonder what it will take for you realize Trump is a scam artist, a grifter with ZERO empathy for ANYONE but Donald J Trump and has definite designs on being a dictator and there is no denying THAT either.

Trump's chart had absolutely nothing to do with actual tariffs charged (which are far lower than he claimed). Additionally, he's charging 10% tariffs on even those nations which the US has a trade surplus with.https://www.cnbc.com/2025/04/04/trumps-tariff-rates-for-other-countries-larger-than-word-trade-data.html

Many would disagree that he has taken a wrecking ball to our exceptionalism. Indeed. Why say that. Scares Sue

WE DO say Trump and Muskrat has taken a BIG wrecking ball to our government
Wholesale firing of tens of thousands of government workers with ZERO in the way of careful screening like they way they handled the bird flu scientists, FIRED, but next day, OOPS, we didn't mean that so come home but they could not and still can't find all of them, same thing with Nuclear workers, FIRED, OOPS, Sorry come back but they can't find all of them either.
This is the direct result of Musk and Trump INCOMPETENCE.
Now the Japanese market has crashed by 8 percent.
IN ONE DAY.

Smooth moooove Trump.

Joe, you backwater, gravity-well guppy, social-Darwinist, you. 😉

Your blithering blather sounds a lot like "evolutionary outcomes need to be rebalanced in light of our cosmically parochial hindsight" or "why can't the fine-structure constant be exactly 137, which would be cooler from my POV."

I seem to remember the phrase "no pain" from Neil Jordan's production of "Interview with the Vampire".

This is the problem with the creepy mugger:

Whatever good might happen: he'll take credit for it.

Whatever bad might happen: that's not his mess to deal with.

Perhaps it could be said that if you are worried, you lack both patience and faith.

It is laughable that you view the Musk actions as being personl attacks by firing people, when in fact, he simply cut away jobs that were unnecessary, which meant the people doing the nothing jobs ahd to find work elsewhere.
That is, you should state that he has gotten rid of useless jobs. Not that he has wholesale fired people.
I'm sure you see the difference. Like if you have 5 employees and the job only calls for 4 people, you let one of them go. The issue is not the people, it is the job efficency.....unless you think you are a charity.

So perhaps we could agree that aside from raising the prices for "groceries" (such an old-fashioned word) Trump and Musk have been increasing unemployment in the USA.

BTW, where do you live and what is your citizenry? -- because I doubt you are American.

Well, they were NOT "unnecessary" nor "useless".

And no, no, no, no, no, no and NO!

Those jobs actually call for more people. But Musk was doing his Führer's bidding and serving retribution on the very same government that charged him, indicted him, tried him and convicted him of multiple crimes.

Trump wanted all those government employees fired, not only out of retribution, but his ultimate plan is to strip those agencies bare of employees, so that people trying to get relief from them will find they are far too busy to hear ALL their complaints and start complaining that those agencies are crap, so they won't mind Trump selling them off to the highest bidder (with the revenue going right to the Trump Organization, of course) and privatizing them, getting even more retribution.

Let's just hope that the next Democrat president is keeping track of the hundreds of EO's so that he (or she) can merely reverse them all with their own EO's.

"Efficiency" is not the problem. Retribution from a megalomaniac is the problem.

The stock market just went down SIX TRILLION dollars and you think diversification will make up for that? Which dream world are you living in now?

Japan market just went down 8% in ONE DAY.
