I have created a Utopia. I think you will agree that with my ideas the world would be perfect.

1) Money is based on hardness of job, you work a hard job you earn more money, this means no millionares or overpaid sport stars.

2) Run by government. There is no busnesses, the goverment runs everthing.

3) Hidden cameras everywhere, in homes, showers, workplaces, everywhere, all being recorded, people are controlled by fear.

4) Capital punishment for even the tinyist thing. The innocent wont die by mistake due to the fact that there will always be cameras of what they did.

5) No industry, everything is hand made. Which means loads of jobs, no pollution.

6) Economic power souces, no pollution, wont run out.

7) Parents own there children (abortions allowed), plus the goverment may limit how many children they have.

8) You do what you want as long as you arnt hurting anyone (homersexuals allowed), however if you go against the goverment you are killed.

9) Freedom of religion.

10) Propogandar would be used to make the populance think they were the lucky ones, they would be shown films of people less unfortunate than them (actors). They would always be satisfied with what they had.

11) Welfare state.

Does anyone see any flaws in this Utopia they want to duscuss?

The whole thing is a little difficult to take seriously, I'm afraid.

Capital punishment for everything? Everyone is controlled by fear? No industry? Why would anyone want to be part of such a system?

Wants had nothing to do with his description. We are talking
about government control, it is not what we would want, it only
matters what the government gives us and tells us what is and
is not important as I read his post.

Not too sure about the cameras in the showers. I mean, what are we going to be doing while we're in there? Plotting against the government? (plus that scares me a bit) 😕

Really, I figured this was just a joke. Probably is, but I'll be a sucker.

While I agree that sports stars make more money than equals the value of their contribution to society, I think "hardness" is horribly vague. Is it "harder" to work housekeeper at a motel than to work as a statistician?

2) Run by government. There is no busnesses, the goverment runs everthing.

That's all well and good except that gov't's are horribly inefficient, with the exception of a few very important cases. In order to achieve anything close to what a market-based system can, the gov't must spend enormous resources fine tuning the economy. I'm afraid your gov't must be either be omniscient or your country relatively poor. Of course you could just have a tremendous amount of a natural resource that you could export to cover the inefficiency. It had better be very renewable though.

3) Hidden cameras everywhere, in homes, showers, workplaces, everywhere, all being recorded, people are controlled by fear.

Really, I feel foolish even responding. Obviously you jest. Since when has ubiquitous "fear" been a characteristic of utopia?

4) Capital punishment for even the tinyist thing. The innocent wont die by mistake due to the fact that there will always be cameras of what they did.

Ah injustice! Another quality any utopia cannot do without.

5) No industry, everything is hand made. Which means loads of jobs, no pollution.

Loads of jobs? No, it means very few things are produced. Again if you are sitting on a motherload of some precious renewable resource then maybe you can import all the finer things in life. And as for pollution, with all the people your gonna need to support such an inefficient economy, you might want to make an exception for a waste industry. Besides even a "hand-made" car pollutes.

6) Economic power souces, no pollution, wont run out.

You mean like sunlight, water, and wind? Who makes all the high-tech instruments to harness the energy? Who makes the wires to transport it? Do your citizens seriously do all this by hand? Which brings me to another problem. How does you utopia factor in for the enormous human error of production. I mean somebody has a bad day making cable, and all the lights go out.

7) Parents own there children (abortions allowed), plus the goverment may limit how many children they have.

Well, at least abortion is allowed. I would think in a utopia though you'd be able to have as many kids as you want. I mean the economy should be able to support it, right?

8) You do what you want as long as you arnt hurting anyone (homersexuals allowed), however if you go against the goverment you are killed.

The way the economy is set up, forget doing what you want. I'd say you work your tail off all day just to put a scrap of food on the table and hope the gov't doesn't kill you.

9) Freedom of religion.

Well not much to dig at here. People can think whatever they want. Should there be any restrictions on organized religion? As a side note, I bet religion would do very well there given the ephemeral and unmerciful nature of life in your utopia.

10) Propogandar would be used to make the populance think they were the lucky ones, they would be shown films of people less unfortunate than them (actors). They would always be satisfied with what they had.

Uh why did you bother putting up 1-9 when number 10 makes anything a utopia?

11) Welfare state.

No kidding. Only problem is your gov't has nothing to give the people (enormous precious renewable resource flow not withholding).

Well other than that it sounds like a wonderful place.

You certainly had me in your corner at the start of your list. Another example is airline pilots. They get paid way more (three-four times?) than the average worker. Yet there's a gazillion private pilots out there who would quit their current job and live off their savings if it would let them train to fly, and subsequently actually fly, the big passenger jets for an annual income of $0.00.

The overment will decide.

2) Run by government. There is no busnesses, the goverment runs everthing.

Of course you could just have a tremendous amount of a natural resource that you could export to cover the inefficiency. It had better be very renewable though.

The idea was for there to be no money hungry companys exploting workers. Basecly the goverment controlls the companys and makes sure everything is fair.

3) Hidden cameras everywhere, in homes, showers, workplaces, everywhere, all being recorded, people are controlled by fear.

Really, I feel foolish even responding. Obviously you jest. Since when has ubiquitous "fear" been a characteristic of utopia?

By fear I mean they dont do wrong seeing as they know they are being watched.

4) Capital punishment for even the tinyist thing. The innocent wont die by mistake due to the fact that there will always be cameras of what they did.

Ah injustice! Another quality any utopia cannot do without.

Well they have no excuse for crime, there is welfare state and jobs for all.

I mean handmaid chairs etc, by being handmaid it will create more jobs and not have machines takeing jobs, althow things which cant be handmaid must of course by maid in factorys.

Factorys make them.

7) Parents own there children (abortions allowed), plus the goverment may limit how many children they have.

Well, at least abortion is allowed. I would think in a utopia though you'd be able to have as many kids as you want. I mean the economy should be able to support it, right?

Hopefully it can but the goverment has control just in case the pop gets out of hand.

As long as you are law abiding you live.

9) Freedom of religion.

Well not much to dig at here. People can think whatever they want. Should there be any restrictions on organized religion? As a side note, I bet religion would do very well there given the ephemeral and unmerciful nature of life in your utopia.

Uh why did you bother putting up 1-9 when number 10 makes anything a utopia?

Because I want the best for everyone.

11) Welfare state.

No kidding. Only problem is your gov't has nothing to give the people (enormous precious renewable resource flow not withholding).

Money from taxes..

Well other than that it sounds like a wonderful place.

Thanks.
