What kind of world have you lived in for 250 years ??
You really think that nothing changes around you ?
250 years ago .....
US had a population under 10 million
There were no cars
There were no planes
There were no computers
There was no Internet (which even you guys are using a lot for drivel)
And on and on and on ......

Frightened of change, are you ?

We are ...[text shortened]... 21st century. And moving forward rapidly.
If you would like someone to hold your hand, just ask....
Re-election campaigns are usually about the incumbent, not the challenger. Trump was an unpopular President but one who sufficiently polarized the country to encourage large turnout; the 2018 midterms had the highest percentages of voters in a century.

He needed to increase his favorability and approval ratings to win and he never did.

Harris didn't run in any primaries. She withdrew on December 3, 2019 citing a lack of funds.

EDIT: Sorry I meant to reply to Liljo's post.

Holy smokes, you are actually DEFENDING this person, the VP, Kamala Harris? Look at yourself. Look at her.
All I get from your first paragraph is that Trump is a great leader, given what he did in 'encouraging large turnout'. I get nothing else of substance here, except, that she quit because of no one wanting to support her financially,,,which can be interpreted, by me, anyway, that no one wanted her. So, you prove the point above by Liljo, do you not?? What in the hell! is she doing as VP!? When Joe finally falters,, maybe as soon as next week after Putin plays cat with the mouse with him, you will have her, and you might start seeing what a leader Trump is.
No problem taking off on the wrong thread. I have my own problems, I get Suzianne, Sonhouse and Hangy Angy mixed up a lot.....and occasionaly incur the wrath of Duchesss (sp) unecessarily.

Trump was such a "great leader" that the majority of the People disapproved of his Presidency from Day 1 to his last day in office. Apparently he encouraged more voters to vote against him then for him; first time voters in 2020 went for Biden by a 2 to 1 margin. https://www.cnn.com/election/2020/exit-polls/president/national-results

I liked Harris very much; if she had made it to my State's primary, I would have voted for her (after Kirsten Gillibrand withdrew).

Marauder. C'mon, as Biden would say. Yes, many people HATED the man Trump, starting with the say he announced that he would run....did they not? ON his ass for 4 years for every detail of his life. But he did not hide in his basement, he accomplished many great things as president, and yes, with a few official bumps along the way, like how to handle a mysterious pandemic.
So, yes a majority did not like the man, me included. You are obviously not a businessman, failing to see his abilities. I and millions of others did see it. We were voting for a PRESIDENT, not a man. The people you mention who went for Biden are, as all of the liberals here, for having a Nanny State. Well, you are getting it.
You like Kamala, do you? I would not vote for a person who giggles all the time. Putin would consider that to be sign of weakness, a veil, if you will. and of course, it is. I think that I never saw Trump giggle, All Businesss, dont you know?

Harris didn’t run in any primaries? You saying that because she withdrew?

ALL the Dems withdrew eventually except Joe Biden! Harris campaigned for a year and raised well over 30 million dollars before citing lack of funds as her reason for dropping out.

She was faring poorly compared to almost every other candidate.

Yes, I'm saying she didn't run in any primaries because she withdrew before there were any.

Let me get Marauder straight....So, when the news reports were saying she 'DROPPED OUT'. (I just googled it), what did she drop out of?

I really don't care about your creepy man-worship of Trump. He was and is an incompetent fool who entirely lacked and still lacks the character and demeanor to be President. He was out on the weekend claiming that any election the Republicans lose must be crooked, thus continuing his never ending assault on American democracy.

And the only major legislation he could get through a Republican Congress was a big tax cut which benefited mostly, as all Republican tax cuts do, the wealthy. The American People spoke loudly enough of what they thought of his qualifications last November, even if you grovel before his "abilities".

When kamala harris was San Fran DA, she had evidence that PROVED a man she prosecuted was innocent and sent to prison. She kept him on death row until his attorney forced her to give up the evidence because she didn't want to own up to it because it made her look bad. She should have been removed from office and sent to prison for it, but Big Willie Brown covered for her.

When she took over as DA, she was handed a dozen Catholic priest child moestation cases that were ready to proceed, but as the new DA she was given a lot of $ by Catholic interest groups for her upcoming bid for the Attorney general office, and suddenly all those cases got dropped.
She is pure EVIL.

Liljo: From 8th in the Dem primary to a stroke (by Biden) away from the presidency—that is where K Harris stands. Her own party disliked her that much in the primary.

His comment is incorrect; she didn't finish "8th in the Dem primary"; she withdrew before any primaries.

Yes, she declared her candidacy for the Democratic nomination for President but she withdrew before any primary votes were cast.

How difficult is that to understand?

We went over all these bogus claims last year and I see no need to debunk them AGAIN.

How creepy (and classic liberal) was it to hate Trump many months before he could prove himself. You know, about 72M want him to be president again, evidencing how talented he turned out to be, but of course, they are not on RHP Forum . (they are too busy working, I dont work, I make money in my sleep, so I can joust here) So you only hear from us repubs on rhp.
So, about 50/50 for the Trump-Biden affair. I think you fellers only think about the socialist 50.

People from NY (like I am) knew all about Trump long before idiot Republicans decided he'd be a great President. He's been a laughingstock here for about 30 years.
