And yet the Republican Party relies on their "cancel culture" to silence dissenting voices in their own party.
That's news to me, got an example?

Probably because the Republicans are too cowardly to even have a platform right now.

Tell you what. You tell me what the Republican Party stands for right now, and I'll bet you get laughed right off this forum.
as evidenced by the shutdowns...republicans stand for FREEDOM and the American dream to prosper according to your desire.

Nope. America is (well, was) a Republic. Not a democracy in the sense that the majority wins. We are (were) upfront about that. Our Pledge states “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States …and to the Republic for which it stands”…

The republic was designed to protect the nation from huge cities simply outvoting farmers and actual producers of goods from simply be ...[text shortened]... se the power of the press they control to make you look like whatever they want.

Yup. It’s over.
Well it was designed so that smaller states would have equal representation in Congress with the more populace states which is still the reality.
The idea that the constitution was designed to give farmers more electoral weight than plumbers or doctors is just surreal.
How has the equal representation of states been diminished in your view.

Nope. I only used farmers as an example. America has fed the world for decades. America got through the Great Depression by returning to family farms in droves.

There are far fewer of those to return to now.

The Democratic Party is moving to the left, left, left, law by law, regulation by regulation. They control the press, education, legislative and judicial branches, and have essentially neutered the executive branch of government.

All the “progressive, socialist” supporters should be jumping for joy right now. They’ve won! The self proclaimed oppressed always rise not to a standard of equality, but to become the oppressors. It is the way of all mankind.

America was an experiment. There is no man-made utopia.

Remember—the thread topic asks a pointed question. A question that can very easily be answered: They won’t. They can’t.

The Dems have destroyed the ‘Pubs. Now they will faction and fraction and eat each other up (watch Pelosi vs AOC for example).

Well how far left something is depends on the viewers perspective. I consider myself quite far left so to me your body politic and civil society is way off to the right as is Biden whilst from your right wing perspective it’s to the left. There might not be an objective viewpoint.
I suspect that the natural tendency of capitalism toward bigger monopolistic entities has converged all those smaller farm holdings into much larger ones. That process has being go on for about 300 years along with the mechanisation of farming.

yup. I am sure we all have our own weights and balances in place and we decide for ourselves which
list of good points and bad points weighs best for each individual

Liz Cheney
Very bad example, she was removed from her leadership position because she went rogue and turned against the Republican Party. She's basically a Democrat .

She's still has a seat in congress and can say anything she wants so where TF do you get off claiming she's been silenced?

Nobody who is "cancelled" cannot say what they want so what's your point?
