Kids, that is not what Socialism is. It is a brutal regime. for which hundreds of millions around the world have died. Their vision is rooted when people do not own stuff. They are not 'in' the system, no responsibility, no mortages, no commitments, etc. When. you own stuff, you are less-likely to burn things down.
An anti-civilization agenda by the Dems is already kicking in.

We all agree that the most important things in life are given to us by socialism. 😆
Capitalism, on the other hand, is solely concerned with property rights and money. Capitalism does useful things through the free market, but there are many, MANY important things capitalism cannot provide like justice and protecting all our rights. 😆
As for communism, that has nothing to do with either socialism or capitalism. There are no communists in the United States - nor in most of Western Europe by this point. 'Hate' and 'love' are also irrelevant when speaking about government.

At least you are correct that all persons are created equal. Although I do not know why you said that.
Next, you are correct that capitalism cannot provide justice or protect our rights. That is the job of an elected government. Don’t know why you said that either. Next will you say the sky is blue? Geez.
And are suggesting that society NOT be concerned with money and property rights?
So what are you trying to say with your post. I know that you mentioned communism, but that was not in the OP..
Whew.
Hurry up before Sonhouse jumps in here, I don’t believe I will be able to take it.

And what’s that got to do with the means of production?
Just asking, before I rip your ignorance a second arse hole.
@shavixmir saidNo, and I don’t see what that means. But I can certainly tell you what I try to tell you that you did not get… When a person has responsibilities in their life regarding the raising of a family, housing, owning that around them, which they build by their own sweat, owing to no one, and not depending on government, they naturally become self reliant. This leads to a healthy society, with everyone interacting to reach their own individual goals.

I could continue, but surely you get the drift. Do you find fault with these statements. You do not have to type the word self-reliant if you don’t want to. You never have.
@AverageJoe1
Shav, a house might be considered stuff. If a person owns their own house, they will not be inclined to burn things down. If they rent from a rich landlord, they will hate that landlord. Like, “he should not own a house! He should not be rich!”, and maybe go burning everything they can see. . I am correct with that statement, but you may ignore it if you want to.
@spruce112358 saidAnd to you, shavixmir, as well. You fellas may not have ever heard of the phrase “human capital” This is a definition of it. If you find this to be a realistic approach to life, a realistic approach to a society humming along, I think it does not square with what you are both saying.

Human Capital: the skills, knowledge, and experience possessed by an individual or population, viewed in terms of their value or cost to an organization or country.
@AverageJoe1
1. The current administration is destroying America's "human capital". Scientists are fleeing the U.S. for Canada, Europe and even China. The development of new drugs and technology for medicine and all fields of endeavor are produced by university sponsored research. Technology was the U.S.'s greatest money maker. The GOP has destroyed that research. They have also handed China the rapidly growing and very profitable green energy sector; solar and wind. Contrary to Trump's recent statements, China is rapidly building wind farms and solar energy.
2. No one in the U.S. becomes financially successful without the government supported infrastructure: good schools, currently being destroyed by the GOP, good roads, good health care. Telling parents they can individually control what public schools teach is like doing away with medical licensing and letting someone like Kennedy make your health care decisions. Your workforce needs good health care. The GOP is destroying health care. You need rules and regulations so the house you have built doesn't fall or burn down. Rules and regs so the vehicles you drive do not cause your untimely death.
I consider myself a capitalist. However, like any game, there needs to be rules. What would baseball or football be without rules? Without rules and regs, capitalism allows felons, like our president, to rip off other people. Our current president is exactly like a mafia godfather. Our country is rapidly becoming a banana republic and a police state. How long before ICE rounds up people who post opinions that counter the GOP/Trump? Apparently, Trump had Comey followed recently due to something he posted on social media.
@Phranny saidThe US is quickly turning into a full blown authoritarian regime.

The ONE thing stopping it is if Trump can be stopped from totally and I mean TOTALLY taking over SCOTUS.
Right now he has them mostly in his pocket but it has yet to be proven he can totally give them the middle finger, refuse to obey Supreme court orders.
He is ALREADY giving the middle finger to lower courts and to SOME SCOTUS orders like facilitate getting Garcia back which happened months after SCOTUS TOLD him to 'facilitate' the return of Garcia where kept whining ONLY the El Salvador government has the power to send anyone back which was in ITSELF a bald faced lie and now we have confirmation of that by the El Salvador government telling us in no uncertain terms THEY do not have the decision to bring home prisoners sent there by the US, that TRUMP can say bring them back and the WILL do exactly that which worked for Garcia but their are hundreds more and we KNOW not all of them or even if ANY of them are real gang bangers because none of them have had their day in court OR even been able to speak to a lawyer.
This is TOTAL INJUSTACE. Also INHUMANE and flat ass CRUEL. going DIRECTLY against our constitution. But Does Trump care? Not in the FKING SLIGHTEST.
He considers himself RIGHT NOW Judge Jury AND executioner and HE says who is a criminal or not. Mostly ANYONE kidnapped by ICE is BY DEFINITION a criminal BECAUSE and ONLY because they were arrested and thrown in a van off to a prison REGARDLESS OF US CITIZENSHIP OR NOT. American citizens HAVE been arrested and detained.
The whole IDEA of ICE is to instill FEAR in our population, NOT the America I knew.

Socialism is the foundation of America - an equal society where everyone has an equal say in our government and where our rights are equally protected.
A purely capitalist society (the one you have been trying to sell us over and over - without the slightest success) mandates that people have rights protection in proportion to how much they can pay for expensive lawyers and personal security. It also mandates that people's say in government is determined by their wealth - in a variety of ways: influence over politicians, contributions to campaigns, crony-capitalist kickbacks (i.e. corruption) and ability to flood the airwaves with propaganda (including no way to outweigh complete lies with facts and rationality.)
The most extreme form of what you espouse - a purely monetary, transactional society - is called "anarcho-capitalist libertarianism." That hideous monster, synthesized out of morsels of bile, resentment, pique, and Ayn Rand quotes, has been breeding in right-wing cesspool vats and poured into the shell-like ears of a great many Americans over AM radio until their minds are completely taken over, like infected caterpillars.
Trump himself, a wild chimera of anarcho-capitalism, dictatorship, jingoism, laziness, and narcissism, is not a Pure version of this. But even so he is the closest thing America has had to an anarcho-libertarian President since the 1920's (and before that since Andrew Jackson). Adam Kokesh, the Libertarian fanatic who is perennially a candidate President, could not have done more to damage our government than Trump. So, old white people got what they have been told they secretly wanted.😆
America has always been formed by making mistakes, and it is a feature of our current crop of rich, old people that they won't want to admit this one. 😆
@AverageJoe1 saidLet's have this here for reference: Suppose you purchase a rental property with the following details:
@AverageJoe1
Purchase price: $250,000
Closing costs: $5,000 (includes legal fees, commissions, transfer taxes, recording fees, title insurance, etc.)
Capital improvements: $10,000 (e.g., initial minor renovations and repairs)
Total initial cost: $250,000+$5,000+$10,000=$265,000
Land value: $70,000 (non-depreciable)
Depreciable Basis = Total Initial Cost - Land Value
= $265,000 - $70,000 = $195,000
Step 2: Determine the Annual Depreciation
For residential rental property under the MACRS using the GDS, the recovery period is 27.5 years.
The full-year depreciation (if placed in service for a full year) is calculated as follows:
Annual Depreciation = (Depreciation Basis / 27.5) = ($195,000 / 27.5) = $7,090.91 per year (about $591 per month)
So @AverageJoe1, using the details above. You are a capitalist - you rent out the above property and your "capitalist friendly" government allows you to deduct ~$7,000 from your taxes ever year because your property is "losing value."
Of course, you make very few improvements in the property - just enough to keep it rented! Because you are a good capitalist.
Then, after 30 years, you sell the property. But for how much? According to the government tax regulations, your property is now worth ZERO - the value is completely depreciated.
But you sell it for $550,000!
@AverageJoe! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!? You took 30 years of tax breaks, swearing up and down that this place was "costing you money and becoming worthless." But you sold for a PROFIT?!?
And what do you do? You buy a neighboring landlord's house, he buys yours - and you start depreciating ALL OVER AGAIN! Rich people don't pay their share of taxes - but you and I both know that. We just don't say it out loud.
Do you see why the crony-capitalist system is corrupt now? You got your government buddies to write a favorable tax code.
THAT'S why poor people want to hang rich landlords. Sheer, capitalist greed and corruption - aided and abetted by gummint. 😆
@AverageJoe1 "An anti-civilization agenda by the Dems is already kicking in."
Yup, and has been for a long while.

My OP points out that if people do NOT own property, assets, stuff to protect, investments, etc, then they (being you people) have no problem burning up stuff that other people have. Oh, and getting the stuff other people.
That's all. The post you just wrote? I do that for a living,. it leads to success, which had me dining in a quaint Italian cafe in Bellagio this evening. I know that what we do bothers all of you people....I have always wondered why. Y'all need to bake a pie, your own pie.
Weird, your post.
