Side by side with real video AI can remove or add people from camera footage (e.g. was chuck grassley on the call with pence and pelosi? There are 2 versions), alter audio, and it's very difficult to detect. It won't be long before we can't trust video evidence of anything anymore.
Calling it what it is, is a sign of intelligence.

I assume you can test for CGI to know if they are faked. It is important to national security. If you see a video of Putin saying he is going to launch nuclear weapons to the USA in a declaration of nuclear war you need to know if it is real or fake. If that is not possible we are in real trouble. Wars could start over fake videos.
