About religious folk running government in the image of their religion?
And those without region make it their own with only themselves as check and balances to their own desires, what could go wrong?

One thing that could go wrong, making up gods and then making up rules supposedly written by said gods. What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

At least the motivations of the secular are understandable.

You think that is a good thing, where the one’s in power are really only accountable according to their thinking is them selves? I do admit the human heart is currupt so even the religious may think they rule by divine right. Bottom line corruption happens no matter who is in charge.

Agree because in your religion you are taught to reject any other religion. You are in a cult.

And that is what I was thinking. 🙂

Give specific examples instead of saying things that are so vague they cannot be confirmed or denied.
Only in your own mind, when confirming or denying seems a bad idea.

Yeah, didn't seem all that broad to me.

I've known atheists with far better respect for others than most evangelicals.

No, this is ridiculous that supposedly EVERYone in charge is bad.

This is demonstrably untrue.

Also, and especially in this country, we have people in charge who SAY they are religious and STILL act like their own interests are the only motivation they have for governing.

I call BS on this. Their supposed beliefs never match up with their actions.

For example, as I've said numerous times in this forum, one cannot serve their own greed and serve God.

One also cannot follow Jesus and still be a bigot.

It's one or the other.

Why? It's useless. You never hear specific examples.

You never give them; it's always vague, undefined ones that cannot be justified or defended.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God; maybe you think you have not, or maybe you know a few that have not, in your opinion. Don't you think everyone is flawed, so who are the good ones? Do you have any names in mind? I believe we all can be the victims, we all can be the abusers, or we all can be bystanders who just let it happen.
