How is your stance against intolerance not be at odds with not caring what others believe? You classify my beliefs as fostering intolerance because you are suggesting you clearly understand my beliefs, which I have to say, I doubt that entirely, as you judge my beliefs. You're full of contradictions.
Do you think governments should be run in the image of religious doctrine, or as a secular enterprise influenced by its citizens?

I think they need to be run by the best ideas promoting level playing fields, not deals in the back rooms with no transparency..

Ask the Muslims. it's what they do as soon as they take over and force their s.ch.it religion on everyone.

Bad idea, then? Religious states in general?

If an atheist and a Catholic live in the same country, isn't the best idea to leave religion out of government-related activities e.g schools and courts?

Of course. That's why we keep the separation of church and state in our culture. Too bad the muzzies don't adhere to that when they take over in our countries.

I never once prompted religion by force, faith like love must be freely give to be real. A level playing field would treat all equally, no favorites.

It's a conversation, not an attack.

The ten commandments are part of Christian faith. Do they belong in schools and courts?

There are also many instances of cabinet officials in our current government making the statement "God is on our side", not in comparison to other countries but people of a different political party. This leaves a bad taste.

Why not? You think the country should be free from religion, which is different than having freedom of religion?

Nah, religion is fine as long as they keep their hands off the kids and the government.

I dislike when political parties give political speeches where they proclaim to have God on their side, as they did multiple times during the Kirk funeral and afterwards. Icky gross.

Oh, so totally unlike southern states now shoving their so-called "Christianity" down schoolkids' throats.

You are speaking about religion as if it were nothing but rules, but the best part of faith, if you happen to know the Lord, is the Lord. He is the truth, the way, and the life. Without Him, we are left to our own devices, and our walks with Him will have no boundaries. Again, this is not something you can force on people; to be real, it must be from the heart. You proclaim tolerance, but when you see it, it grosses you out; you cannot even speak kindly about a funeral.

The government is rules. But "God is on our side" is an extremely toxic message to send to voters, as it implies that the other side is not worth saving.
