Biden will not use it. I figure hevwill be gone soon, and the next pres would use it and help Ukraine. That is, if you haven’t reduced the funding to do so

I think it's a bit ridiculous that someone can lose his money gambling and still be able to discharge his debts in bankruptcy but a person who goes to college for four years but ends up with so much debt for doing so that he can't afford it cannot.

Then again, I'm not in favor of cutting off my own nose to spite my face which, considering the favorable economic effects of both the student loan program and the forgiveness of much of that debt resulting from it would have, is what you and QQ are advocating just because it gives you jollies to "punish" people.

I’m saying we need enough military to be the country that maintains balance, wherever it is. We have to be the country whose currency (the dollar) has to be the most dependable, upon which all other countries tie their currencies. We have to be America, all while fighting off those who would be irresponsible with the strength of our military and in the allocation of our dollars.
Somewhere in America are 2 neighbors, one of whom planned and got a college education, and the other who piddled his life away and wants us to pay for his mistakes.
Are you proposing to go to loser-war with those people? If that guy went to the bank and borrowed his tuition, and then never paid it back, do you think the government should pay that bank the money that he borrowed ?

Raytheon makes war stuff, prob not a good stock to buy as it would be under normal circumstances. Biden, not your normal president. Hell, he may work a deal with Russia to require Raytheon to arm them.

I think ALL countries should support Ukraine. You pose a loaded question. If you call supporting a country under attack for no reason starting a war, you are sadly mistaken.

A fair question. I do not want to 'go to war, ground or otherwise' with Russia. That is not the same as our protecting Ukraine from Russia. So, having answered your question, do you think that we can in some way impede the progress of Putiin's invasion? If you agree with me, that we can, ......Are you proposing that we do Not try to impede that progress,,,, that, we stand by and let it happen?

I'm not sure what would impede Putin's progress besides a negotiated settlement or the introduction of troops and planes.

I'm fine with economic sanctions to signal moral outrage at this act of aggression though the US not buying Russian oil while Europe continues to seems like we're punishing ourselves more than Putin.

I don't agree with barring individual Russian athletes from competing, including in the paralympics, because of the actions of their government, however.
