@no1marauder saidsupport with lethal weapons, whatever it takes to stop putin. If it involves troops on the ground so be it.
What do you mean specifically by "support"?
Stop weaseling.
Innocent people, women, children, older people, bombing childrens hospitals must be stopped.
putin took advantage of a weak, compromised president. Makes one wonder just how involved our politicians are with our enemies, obama caught on the hot mic making promises to putin, feinstein getting caught with a chinese spy on hef payroll, swallwell f***ing a chinese spy.
@shallow-blue saidI only agree that Russia, not merely Putin, feel that the issues of aggressive NATO expansion and the rights of Russians in the Ukraine and elsewhere are vital interests to it.
In other words, you agree - but are too afraid to agree - that the only thing which will stop a psychopath like Putin is a kick to the testicles.
Because he sure as testicles will never keep to any negotiated limit. He never has until now.
Your simplistic idea that it's just one psychopath causing all the trouble is the reasoning of a child.

@mott-the-hoople saidOf course it's all about domestic politics to you and you seem willing to drive the US to a nuclear war to win a childish pissing match.

Hopefully we have grown ups in charge.
EDIT: If anything, Biden's position to not even seriously consider the Russian proposals made in December was too hawkish, not "weak".
@no1marauder saidSo in other words, Biden is 'strong'? You think he is strong? Strong is the Ukranian President, he is more Nato than Nato is. Has anyone ever said Biden is strong? Who said that, it is worth a thread.

Oh....are your people buying oil from human rights abusers?
@no1marauder saidnow you see why I said it was a loaded question!

The killing of women and children is not a "pissing match".
You may not have any moral character, I DO!
@averagejoe1 saidI was surprised and disappointed the Democrats voted for Biden in the primaries, but if you knew anything about his life you'd conclude he was "strong" in a way a pampered, egoistical blowhard like Trump could never be.

He lost his young first wife and a one year old daughter in a car accident when he was barely 30. His oldest son died of brain cancer.
Things like that could break a man, but he soldiered on. I also give him props for having the courage to finally end the US occupation of Afghanistan and face the political consequences of doing so - something three Presidents hadn't had the stomach to do preferring to kick the can down the road.
So yes, I think Joe Biden is "strong".
@no1marauder saidYou left out plagiarism and stalking and everything in between. Libs do that. I have faulted Trump in many discussions, you have never faulted this person. Voted wrong on every issue for 40 years. Google his shortcomings and be aghast. Dont forget the millions garnered from the chinamen and the other foreign rich. Used his vice presidency to get super wealthy. Did Pence do that?

Give it a rest. But i guess he is strong to be able to stand back and watch slaughter of families go on. And watch inflation kill the middle class. And go to the seashore each week. He doesnt play golf……he sleeps.
@averagejoe1 saidYou continue to dodge the question of how exactly you would stop the "slaughter of families" in the Ukraine. At least Mott was honest enough to say he'd be willing to start WWIII over it.

You asked if Biden was "strong" not whether everything he has done in his life I agree with or condone. I answered your question and you're just trying to change the subject.
@no1marauder saidYou did ask me for military advice about stopping the Russians from doing things. I know not military strategy, Haven't the faintest idea. Biden could start, though, but not telling Putin what he will NOT do. What a tactician. Smart, like Trump. Yeah right.

The 40 iukle convoy will likely get picked apart by the Uks, and it will slow to a crawl, no supplies or gas, and muddy rain on the way. There is zero chance that Putin can control much of Ukraine, all while his army is being eaten up piece by piece.
I figure Biden and Nato need to send every weapon they can to Ukraine, short of Offensive weapons, which is what Putin would like to happen.
So NATO wipes out his forces, and Biden could be a hero to tell Putin to fukk himself, that NATO is going to shut him down. Biden's showing fear, which he is, is the worst way to deal with this cretin.
How about azzazinate some of his generals.
Biden now counting on the IRAN deal to avoid pumping oil again. Tell me he will not travel to Saudi to crawl on his knees. (may I invoke the great Ronald Reagan here?)
More later? The Iran Deal will lead to war in the mideast.

You think the introduction of US ground troops into Ukraine wouldn't start WWIII?
@Mott-The-Hoople
Yeah, if there is any killing of children, YOU want to be the one to do the deed.
I can see you now: 4 stars on your shoulder, Allied supreme commander, you get GIDDY when you push the nuke button to end the pathetic human race, for which the planet will thank you for getting rid of the human fleas on this jewel of a planet which humans don't deserve,
@no1marauder saidYour insistence that Ukraine roll over and let itself be ravaged by Putin's invasion force is like that of a teacher who tells a child to just go along with a schoolyard bully.
Your simplistic idea that it's just one psychopath causing all the trouble is the reasoning of a child.
Children have died horribly in schoolyards because of attitudes like yours, and children are dying horribly in Ukraine right now because of your support for Putin.
@no1marauder saidYou dare bring that up!? While your beloved Putin is bombing children's hospitals? You disgust me as much as Trump does.
