the old testament ( the jewish book ) is about murder by blood and revenge ( in part ) the new testament, the christian book, is about loving your neighbour and forgiveness..got to read both books now..

That leaves us two options:

1. God exists in some ethereal form

OR

2. Man's belief in God creates existence.

But either way, for good or ill, God exists.
