Aaah yes...Agnatha, Bjourn, Benny, & Annafrid. They are the top selling band worldwide in history of all bands (including The Beatles). That was a good guess, but I am thinking that is not who he had in mind.....perhaps the band whose name is a slang term for dildo? Yes indeed the Steely Dan.

This thread has proved once again that rock has been entirely mediocre for the last 25-30 years.

Love the Dan. That sheet's as smooth as my bare ass. Give me them over AC/DC, Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd anyday. The last time I did karaoke, I brought the house down with a incredibly drunken rendition of 'My Old School' complete with the chugging of an entire bottle of beer during the guitar solo.

that would have been worth the price of admission. Did you use the teleprompter when you performed, or did you do it au natural?

I dare anyone to name one song form Led Zep that qualifies as a "bad" song.

That one about the woman on the stairs.
And she's going to heaven or somewhere.
What was the title? "All that glitters isn't gold" or something?

Don't know how many of you would qualify this as rock, but Joshua Tree was an incredicle alblum

Well I don't think they're the greatest of all, but to me, they will always be No 1 - Jethro Tull.

Especially for the awesome poetry of the lyrics!

Ian Anderson (lead singer) once said, athat a combination of his lyrics and Led Zeppelin's music would have made the perfect music.

I agree totally!

No, rap DOES NOT count as music...and certainly not as rock music.

Pearl Jam? Guns N' Roses? Metallica?

Not to mention the great shredders like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Yngwie Malmsteen...
