I haven't read through the entire thread but with free speech comes some responsibility. It isn't totally free and without it's consequences. Just try popping off a bomb joke in an airport security line.
The school has to have the ability to regulate what can and can not be written, said, displayed, or any other actions the students may engage in ...[text shortened]... er kids helping hold the sign up.
I think he will not find the courts ruling in his favor.
1) What sort of world is it where a school can suspend a person's education for a silly act like that?
2) He was not on school grounds, or under scool supervision and as such is an autonomous member of society, free to act in whichever way he wants within the law.
3) You think this should go to the supreme court at all?
4) The message was not about the school at all.
Disruptive, perhaps, but lets get things in perspective here; an immature prank - suspension of education - supreme court hearing - can anyone spell 'over-reaction'?????
