Does anyone know what happens when these cheats try to log on after their ban? GuaravV goes to check his games, does he get a message pop up saying "Access denied, you are banned for cheating" or something like that?
Just trying to get a mental picture here 😀
Originally posted by Sicilian SmaugThinking about it, it must make the game incredibly boring. Opponent makes a move, feed that into an engine and then make that move. Doing that for hundreds of games!
Together with a message saying something like" So was that time spent feeding your game positions into your engine really worth it?" (With a '😉' for Stroubidoul)
They must lead a very unexciting life.

That took a while, he was suspected of cheating 2 years ago!

Got a couple of games against him too (well, used to).

Jeez, thats almost 40 titles gone between Gaura and Meman.
always seems to be a flurry of cheaters caught at once, this time three.
cant believe that fool was winking bahahahaha
I read those other threads, cant believe ppl called Gaura a cheat so long ago so blatantly and he is just now being banned.
With so many games played, why would it take so long to bust him?
This is my first post on the board. I have only subscribed for a short time, but I have been around here for a little while (off and on).
I am curious. It appears that several people were banned recently:
GaurvV (cheating - using a machine to play)
Stroubidal (cheating - the same reason), and
Samarai Warrior/Liteswordlitespeed (who appears to be the same person)
From what has been mentioned in this thread, it appears that some players were banned a while ago for cheating in a similar manner(Meman).
How often does this happen? Is it merely coincidence that three people (four accounts) were recently banned? Is this something I should keep on the lookout for?

It answers your frequency question for starters. I guess the admins do these things in batches.... Friday afternoon.... let's do something FUN! 😵

That page was very helpful and does answer my questions.
It is a sad comment that so many people would want to cheat. As if your score in a chess site makes you a better person.
Hmm. A cheater like the rest. I feel so unsatisfied. There are too many cheaters here.
EDIT: Now how about catching the persons using a computer to make one, three or five moves during a game? Is that even possible? I hate playing 30-40 moves with mistakes both ways and then suddenly meet an endgame master who make no mistakes and can foresee my every advance/move (no name mentioned since we can all have moments of genious).
