You would read the various e-mails you get from people and interpret them. If you got an e-mail from twincheater1 saying what a great Royal twincheater2 is and how you should be his Henchman, you might come to the conclusion mentioned above.

requesting to take over any realms in DragonLords game dke that lose their rulers; you might want to mention that you have reason to believe two realms, Elandor and Tyrandar, will lose leaders due to multying and would like to take over one of these realms if this person is convicted of multying.
Or, send me your e-mail and I can send the exact same message to the GM.

Can I spend all of my gold down to zero or do I have to keep some to pay the upkeep of the troops each turn?
Treasury is how much gold you have before paying bills. Upkeep is how much your upkeep costs. HQ Expenses are another "bill" (not sure what this includes - it's usually 0). Garrison Expenses are the bill for how many troops you have ordered built this year (and will not be able to use until the next turn) and Expected Surplus is how much is left unspent. As you can see, upkeep is automatically subtracted from your funds before you spend anything; the money you can actually spend is listed in "Expected Surplus".

Are every realms forces of equal strength or do some have stronger cavalry than others who would maybe have stronger infantry etc? Does it depend on Race eg Elves have stronger Archers?
Originally posted by cadwahDifferent races have different troops of different quality, correct. For example, Dwarves have the best heavy infantry.

Originally posted by rwingettThe "Realm Performance in Dragonlords" document suggests otherwise. However, surprisingly, those nations with Gnome Cavalry access (yes there are specific statistics for them vs others) actually have a lower victory rate than average.
I think it all evens out in the long run. I don't think any realm is inherantly better than another.
