The reality of a quickie divorce is indeed a sad thing.
I think divorce is a reality because so many people marry far too young and with expectations born out of fantasy.
Culture is a factor, yes, but let's be accurate regarding social class and stigma being the barrier to independence for women all over the world.
The fact is, you made generalize e for our men. Wrong. Neither woman should be a stereotype and that's all I'm saying to you.

Yes they have made mistakes (the worst case scenarios i have seen is where parents shield their children to such an extent in that they make every decision for them, the result being that they end up clones of their parents or utter rebels), yet i hope they will profit from them.
Genuine question here, I'm not being argumentitive.
If you and your wife have children, you'll be raising them in a mixed culture (agreed?) and they will learn how to treat their future spouse by your exmples. If your daughter wants to have a career and nice things before, if she marries, will you discourage her?

Eastern girls give you a bath and a gentle massage, sing lilting songs, recite poetry and them make you a sumptuous feast. Western girls flick through glossy magazines with expensive things in them, and make to do lists, and expect you do something other than play chess in the house! West maybe the best, but East is proverbial in its hospitality!
