I am just saying that at US schools if a star player fails classes sometimes teachers are the ones held responsible.

@wolfgang59 saidThat is a better system.

@wolfgang59 saidIn the UK schools I worked in, most sports teams were coached and driven around by the P.E. teachers [as part of their job description] with some of the teams being coached by other members of staff [voluntarily].

@eladar saidI have been an educator for 36 years teaching various subjects and skills in various countries including training and facilitating with education projects at a national level. I am a more experienced and longer serving educator than you, by far, you teaching sums and stuff to highschoolers notwithstanding. As for what I have taught, it is none of your business.
Still no educators, at least ones willing to admit what they teach.
@fmf saidStill the bozo types lots of words yet says nothing.

@eladar saidA coach is an educator. So is a classroom teacher. So is a lecturer. So is a trainer. So is an instructor. So is a tutor. Several educators have identified themselves to you in accordance with your request: some with lots of words, some with fewer words.

@eladar saidMy job description, and the title on my business cards, is “senior technical instructor.” Been doing it 21 years. I teach people (mostly sys admins) how to configure Cisco kit (routers and switches). Not rocket science, but very nerdy.

Many bozos and dip shts on this site, but few educators.
