Belgium are supposed to have one of, if not the best goaltender in the world but hasn't been doing so well against Senegal.

If only Ireland had a better goaltender, maybe we would have qualified?

Many aren't even giving Canada a 5% chance, I don't think they are a match to be honest with you Morocco have big strong players who don't mind getting physical. The Refs seem to be letting a lot of things go. I don't even know the game that well but I have noticed that much. Kind of like our Hockey Playoffs the refs seem to put the whistles away and let them go at it, they have to find out where the line is the hard way.

Germany, Senegal and now US done over.

That's not a red card, didn't have a clue the other guys ankle was there.

I didn’t think it could be more painful to watch England than it was under the excruciating Southgate “let’s play like ‘Boro” methodology, but last night set a new standard, at the back at least.

The space at right-back for the opening Congo goal was astonishing. One wonders if Spence was the right choice and why Alexander-Arnold didn’t make the squad given Livramento’s injury and James being as fragile as bubble. And Tuchel also chose to bring Trevoh Chalobah instead of Harry Maquire. Even calling back Kyle Walker could have been an option; he’s still fit and playing regularly for Burnley; safe pair of feet so to speak.

I think these choices are going to haunt Tuchel.

If England beat Mexico at their home stadium which is over 7,000ft above sea level, and that’s a big if, then current form elsewhere indicates it will then be Brazil in the quarters > Argentina in the semis and France in the final.
