49. Doyle was ready for the attack. It was time to throw everything on the table now. He sent a coded text message to Stu: No holds barred. Throw everything at them. We're going to make hostile takeover bids everywhere. They surrender their central european operations or they go down in flames.

48. The Don listened respectfully and attentively. His temper had since been soothed by his lovely wife and the "eight casks" of Brunello di Montalcino that Stuart had sent to the Commission. The social wheels of business were turning again. Don Donaldo had even saw to it that Mr. Pidity was once again graced by the company of the ravishingly beautiful Bella ...[text shortened]... the discomfort this must have caused Stuart. Don Donaldo liked the power his Queen projected.
49. Stu said to Lolita, "As you are Bishop Joey's sister...well half sister, what do you think will be his reaction when I tell him that in order for this negotiation to continue to it's ultimate end His Holiness will have to be eliminated and replaced by a non believer?" Lolita took a moment to consider her answer. " My husband, Don Donaldo, has sanctioned this move and as for my brother, this will be a "horse of a different colour". He will, at least overtly, kick up a stink but in the end he too will agree to it as being the only way to allow the negotiation to live. When will "it" happen?" Stu told her that as they spoke the wheels were being put in motion and that, if all went according to Hoyle, His Holiness would be taken out in the hour. She shuddered at the thought and dared not ask how the deed was to be done. As they pulled into the circular drive of the Commission House in Corleone they both knew that what they were involved in would change the world at RHP and the moderators would be coming down on them with all their might this could mean bannishment and a change in the TOS but what must be must be.

50. Stu read the message and looked at the Don, eye to eye, "Don Donaldo, it is time that we come to an agreement. Your offer of 995 has been taken as an insult. We are making bids for the Swiss chocolate producers and marketers all over Europe and America. We are holding back nothing. I am only delivering this message. In the interest of fairness, we would accept a fair offer 250,000,000 Euros. This offer is only good for the next two hours, however, as we already have lined up competing interests from China and India.

51. Donaldo stood up. Even he was visibly shaken. "Hold On Now, Hold on Now, Hold on Now." he tried to state calmly over the cacaphony that was breaking out around the conference table in the House of Corleone, "Just what are you saying" he said nervously and with a nervous Sicilian accent, "You need to be absolutely clear here!... We are all just business men... doing business ... what exactly are you saying?"

52. They were talking dangerous business... and stepping all over each other doing it. This was going to get out of hand. Who ever controlled CHOCOLATE controlled the WORLD. The Church had done it, and quite effectively for thousands of years. But in these days and times that was unthinkable. Even the Church didn't seriously try to control chocolate anymore. Sure they still made heartfelt and sincere proclamations on the proper uses of chocolate, And for many, such doctorine still served as a good Ideal, but by and large People determined themselves when, where, why, and how they were going to enjoy the pleasures of chocolate. The People themselves would NOT allow a monopoly in this area.

Controlling CHOCOLATE...This was crazy talk.

54. Don Donaldo, all due respect, we already control the plantations in brazil, central america, and africa. Without the cocao bean, you cannot produce any chocolate. Our price is 250,000,000 euros, and the lovely Bella Donna. Stu Pidity was truly trying very hard to live up to his legendary name.

55. In the cool autumn air of the inland hills of Sicily a bead of angry sweat was forming on Don Donaldo's forehead. It was followed by beads of confusion and fear. The Don pulled a silk handkerchief from the jacket pocket of his Armani suit and dabbed at his brow. He wanted nothing to do of this business against the Church he was Italian after all, and the 250 million Euros was a lot, but La Bella Donna was priceless to him and he would not part with her at any cost. As skilled as the Don was in the complex game of life, he was a rare oddity of a master player... one whom could not play without his Queen. Stuart Pidity had lived up to his reputation.

"I need more time."

56. With that said he excused himself and motioned to the rest of "The Commission" to follow him out of the conference room. When they had left Stu sat back in his Corinthian leather chair, put his feet on the Birdseye Maple table, took a large cigar from his breast pocket, lit it and thought to himself, "I have him right where I want him. This couldn't be any easier. " At that exact moment the 9mm bullet slammed into his skull and he lurched forward , his face no more than a pulpy mush, blood staining the table a lush red. The assasin left her hiding spot and made her way back down the mountain to the train station knowing that the money promised would soon be in his Cayman Island account as promised. She loved her "job".

57. La Bella Donna, such a pretty girl, and such a poisoned one, too, smiled and walked to the waiting limo, which exploded the moment she got in.

58. The Commission was pleased with a good outcome. The nuisances were cleared and business could return to normal now. Father Domingo softly stepped into the room and with the deepest humility and deference approached His Holy Excellency and whispered softly in his ear that a Minister from Brazil, the largest Latin American producer of Cocao, had just landed at the airport in Palermo and had sent word that he was on his way to visit the lovely Bella Donna.

59. Don Donaldo saw the flash and was nearly simultaneously blown backward and violently to the ground as the limo exploded skyward in a ball of orange and black and silver.

60. The Don and the eight Family Bosses of The Commission had been lingering behind under the portico in a long drawn out conversation when La Bella Donna kissed her husband and with a smile sauntered down the walkway to their waiting limousine.

Now the Sicilian Commission lay like pawns flung angrily from some upended gameboard. Broken, bruised, and bleeding they lay abandoned by the powerful blast that disintegrated the limo... and the beautiful Bella Donna.

The Don had his answer... the clock would not be adjusted... he would not be given any time... and if he continued to play at all, he would play without his Queen.

61. But as so often happens with reality, rather than fiction, the limo was heavily armored and the passgenger VIP compartment was most heavily armored of all, and La Bella Donna, while visibly shaken and nearly in tears, emerged from the nearly destroyed limo limping and dazed, but still very much alive. She fell into the arms of one Signor Ronaldo McDonaldo and fainted.

62. Don Donaldo managed to bring himself to his hands and knees. His, 2500 Euro, Armani suit was ruined. Blood, trickled from his ears. He raised his head, and through the dust and debris he thought he could make out the tall sinuous form of his beautiful Bella Donna across the gardened lawn. He could see her luscious red lips parted ever so slightly, the feminine curves of her lovely form through the diaphanous dress that clung to her soft body in the light autumn mediterranean air, and the blackness of the shroud of death that was enveloping his conciousness.
