20.

`During the whole of a dull, dark, and soundless day in the autumn of the year, when the clouds hung oppressively low in the heavens, I had been passing alone, on horseback, through a singularly dreary tract of country, and at length found myself, as the shades of evening drew on, within view of the melancholy House of Usher.'

The first sentence from "The Fall Of The House Of Usher"

21. Doyle pondered the landscape. What should be done? For now, just get everything in place. Mobilize production, get marketing into the game, set up a rendezvous with the lovely Contessa de Largo, as she has the ear of their CEO. Stu should be at the bargainning table in about two hours. Not a minute to lose!

23. An hour and thirteen minutes later the concierge returned to the suite of Stuart Pidity. He hesitantly tapped on the door and said, "I'm sorry to disturb you Sir, but I have an urgent message for you."

24. The golden key continued and said, " Sir, so as not to disturb your comfort, I shall just leave it under the door." With that he slid the decorative parchment envelope under the door.

25. The hand written note was on "Commission" letterhead. It read, ' Dear Mr. Pidity, The Commission understands that you must be exhausted after such a long days travel all the way from Zurich to the center of our beautiful Palermo. Take a day or two to get to enjoy the pleasure of our hospitality. Though we are SERIOUS business men, there is plenty of time to talk business. In the lobby you will find waiting lovely entertainment for your evening. Lolita Bella Donna is one of our best. Thank you so much for the one case of fine wine, you are too generous. The commission bosses were wondering if you can find it in your heart to find three more cases, we are planning a celebration. Sincerely... The Commission.'

26. Stu went to the suite's large mahogany desk took up some of the fine linen paper and scratched off a note to "The Commission", it read , Consider it done Don Donaldo and thank you so much for your "lovely" gift Ms Bella Donna truly is a wonder to behold and in another minute I will beholding her close to me. I look forward to our meeting in a day or two but not as much as I look forward to the "meeting" with Ms Bella Donna (she said to please not be so formal) in a minute or two. Be prepared for some "serious" negotiating, I am a man of few words and of less time. He called down to the consierge and when the note was picked up, almost immediately, he turned his attention to the stunning, call me Lolita, Ms Bella Donna and the rapture that lay ahead.

27. La Bella Donna accompanied Stu on his arm as they enjoyed a few moments of small talk to fill an otherwise vast expanse of empty space and time that was the anticipatory few moments before consummation. Closing the door behind her, appreciating her full length and anticipating their next few hours together, he offered her the one truly meaningful gesture of shared passion, "Care for a square of dark 86% Ghirardelli chocolate M'Lady?" oh, how she melted into his world!

28. Doyle sat tapping his fingers in sequence, as though he were a 10 year old hammering his scales on the piano, again and again. "What the Hell's going on over there, he wondered?"

29. After Stu and Lolita's "little bit of heaven" CAME to it's ultimate conclusion and Ms Bella Donna had exited his suite for yet another rendezvous (time was money afterall), Stu cleaned up , ordered a capaccino from the kitchen and dialed Doyle's secure line. "I've made contact and we've arranged to meet tomorrow at 1300 hrs. I get a sense that this is going to be one hell of a negotiating session. From what I've been able to glean from my contacts, this Don Donaldo is one tough hombre. My approach is going to be that of a "country bumpkin" as I'm sure "The Commission" is thinking, who in there right mind would offer such a small amount (nine nintey five) for such an "item"? Doyle pondered for a moment "You know them better than I and this is your area of expertise so I'll defer to you. Good luck and as soon as it's over call me immediately". With that said they hung up and Stu took his last sip of his "Cap" and prepared to shower. Meanwhile Ms Bella Donna entered Don Donaldo's library and as instructed sat in the leather wingback to await his arrival, she had much to report.

30. Doyle realized how "dirty" and dangerous this was going to get. He called a meeting of the executive committee and ordered a lockdown. The operations center was to be moved safely to the upstate "compound" in the Adirondacks. Support staff, and a special
"security detail" will be put in place in the main offices in center city, not unlike a small fortress.

31. Stu started to think that Doyle was loosing his nerve. Why would he run scared like that when the negotiations had not even begun? Then, like a bolt of lightening, it hit him. Doyle was in league with " The Commission" it all made sense now. He'd wondered why Doyle had sent him to Palermo instead of using Luigi Digrosso but was not about to second guess his superior. Now he saw why. Doyle was afraid that he, Stu, was gaining a reputation as a "go getter" and feared for his hold on the executive committee. But what did he have in mind? Was he going to try and have "The Commission" do away with him at tomorrows meeting or was he just going to try and blame Stu for not being able to get the better of "The Commisiion" thus tarnishing his, Stu's, impeccable track record at such negotiations? Well he wasn't about to let any of that happen. He decided that it was time for "Plan B". He made a call to Don Donaldo, two can play at this game Doyle.

32. Donaldo was pleased. The three additional cases of Brunello di Montalcino arrived just before La Bella Donna, the most expensive in all of Italy... the wine wasn't cheap either. Donaldo kissed his wife with a deepness and passion known only between a man and a woman whos love and trust had been so completely surrendered to each other that nothing, and I mean nothing possesed them. He had made a market of her beauty, but he was no pimp, the trurth was complicated, deep, and undefinable to traditional minds.

The tall, olive skinned, dark haired, stunningly gorgeous La Belle Donna sat in the Italian leathered chair of her husband's library and told him everything.

33. Don Donaldo sauntered into the office with the waiting beauty sitting obediently in his wing chair ready to report to him all that she learned during her afternoon soire with dark chocolate squares with the negotiator for that american infirm (ha ha!). She was about to begin speaking, just barely opening her mouth to begin her report when the Don, his mind elsewhere, quickly quieted her by putting something else, long and hard, into it - a tripple length of giancoma 86% light chocolate. The effect was dazzling as her mouth became wet and wildly sensuous, the chocolate melting on her tongue. The Don's heart raced, nearly pounding through his chest as he watched her expression of ecstasy, her whimpering moans, her her her . .oh yes YES YES! oh OHHHHH OHHHH oh my ah ah aohhhh ... .oh. .. . .another darling?

34. "Damn", the Don said aloud as one of his Lieutenant's inturrupted him with a phone call. "This had better be good".
