Anita also says: "To keep salad crisp, turn a small saucer upside down in the bottom of the salad bowl. The liquid & water will run down under the plate away from the salad." Note: She publishes the monthly community newsletter, The Courier.

When traveling for long distances in the summertime in your automobile, tires have a tendency to overheat and you can get a blowout on the tires.

One way to help keep this from happening is to stop and let the tires cool off and to keep your tires inflated properly. But it's also a good idea to give your tires a little shot of liquid nitrogen. It will help to cool that over heated tire wile driving. Just don't add too much.

There is no better deodorant than bicarbonate of soda. After your shower, dip your finger in the powder, spread lightly on each armpit and you are free of stink for the day. 🙂

TM, isn't an open box of "bicarbonate of soda" placed inside the refrigerator useful in eliminating odors?

If your house explodes unexpectedly, buy another one.

    1. Store belly-button fluff in a bag and use when
sending those fragile gifts by mail.

    2. Store ear-wax in an air-tight container - great for
squeaky doors or freeing drawers that stick.

    3. Don't waste money on A5 paper - simply buy A4 and a sharp knife.

    4. Finger-nail dirt makes great compost.

    5. At the barbers ask for your hair back and re-stuff that antique arm-chair.

If your next house also explodes unexpectedly, try buying a non - exploding house.

Our local deli sells cottage cheese already upside down
in the container for that very reason!

Apparently Edam stays fresher longer if put in the fridge
back-to-front; something to do with it being made backwards.

if you wake up in bed with a sharp knife in your hand and blood everywhere you can be quite sure there is a dead body next to you.

De-odourise your microwave oven by placing inside it a saucer containing water and a few drops of fresh lemon juice and turning on for 30 seconds. You can also leave a dish with the same mixture around the house to help remove odours.

You can increase food storage time for any food by not eating it. Just buy more instead and eat that.
