Using Nitrogen instead of air is standard practice in racing.
The point was the "liquid".

The problem with oxygen is the power to oxygenate (make rust). The difference in diffusion coefficient through rubber is negligeable.

Agreed it was a mistake to say liquid nitrogen I wasn't thinking.
